Exactly. |
I'm not here to defend Scott but that's an " over simplification " at best.
2014 lost prelim final
2015 lost prelim final
2016 lost elimination final
2017 lost about 1500 games worth of experience.
If Bucks goes, then my preference is for a young coach who has had extensive experience in the system. I think he is actually a good candidate, whether there is any truth in more click bait, is another story. |

Not since Malthouse in 92 (and 94) has a coach won a premiership at there second club without making a grand final at there first.
History would appear to be against Scott although in fairness most coaches generally fall into one of 2 categories and are either deemed a failure and never get another senior opportunity or they're premiership coaches.
Still I don't like the odds and would rather go with the best credentialed assistant or a proven coach (either premiership or multiple grand finals). _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

That's a lot of losses right there... solidifies my opinion that Scott is not the man for job. |

I think we are going in 1 or 2 directions
1 - We will sign a big name coach (open cheque book approach) who can provide us with the quickest avenue to a finals appearance and attract high end free agents
2 - We will go for a highly rated assistant and look at a longer build being mindful of not paying the rich club tax for the poor clubs. This coach will be given a longer term to get things in motion
Either way the only certainty for mine is we will have a new coach
If I was framing a market I would have it this way
Scott $1.90
Dew $2.30
Longmire $5.50
Clarkson $5.50
Tudor $8.00
Roos $9.00
Bolton $15.00
All others $18.00
MM 1,000,000 to 1 |

Scott has guaranteed he's going nowhere.
Therefore bring on Stewie Dew - he's the man _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

Scott is ok, has done pretty well with Norf for the last four years or so, aside from this one of course. I could live with him as coach, if other candidates don't come to fruition. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Fake news on Brad Scott. He's a rubbish coach, and not even Pies' Board would be that dumb to get a coach lower than us on the ladder.
I suspect Scott's manager has realised his client's AFL coaching career could be quickly coming to an end, and trying his best to keep his name in the conversation for the GC job. |
