I'm calling it the day before, but, tomorrow afternoon, we'll be sitting 6th on the ladder at 6 - 6, four points out of the top 4.
We've won 3 times interstate from 3 trips, haven't been beaten by 4 goals or more and our list is healthy, compared to last year (even after last week).
5 of the sides we've played are currently in the top 8.
Last year we were 4-8, we'd been smashed interstate by; Sydney (80 points) & West Coast (62 points).
Our 4 wins came against; Geelong (4th at the time), Richmond (13th), Brisbane (17th) & Essendon (18th)
The losses were to sides; 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th (twice), 11th & 12th. The majority were shellacking's! 80 points, 67 points, 62 points 46 points, 35 points and 29 points.
Surely, this puts to bed all the anti-Buckley conspirators? _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Improvement this year is encouraging but Monday will test our depth severely.
I believe we have the talent but will be under pressure again with big names out and the Dees always playing a couple of ladder positions higher in class and intensity when they play us.
I've got to say reading some of the ratbag posts from raiding Melbourne supporters over in BF now that they have some sort of a sniff that I'd love Eddie to come out and close down this annual MFC charity match. |

Uhm. No. We haven't beaten Melbourne yet. By all means call the game tomorrow but at this moment, we have beaten three bottom teams in the last three games. Our best effort for the year was our loss against GWS. StKilda, Carlton and Essendon have moved ahead of us on the ladder. I'm neither an anti- Buckley conspirator or a club schophant which you seem to be. Although I can't stand Robbo as a journalist, he put it best when he said that Buckley is still on notice. |

As someone else stated, we will miss Elliotts 3 goals and 3 goal assists.
Fasolo may or may not get 1 or 2. Happy to be wrong [and I rarely tip us to win anyway except in '10/'11] but I think we'll lose by our greatest margin this year. Between Elliott's 3 and his total impact, 6. Really hope I'm wrong and would glorify in the turnaround as well. _________________ Get back on top. |

If we lose to Melbourne, we will only be one win ahead of 17th place?

When we lose tomorrow it will just be a continuation of the Buckley failure to beat sides around us. |

Freo were in the 8 when we beat them. Better placed than Melbourne _________________ Well done boys! |

hahahaha... a mixed bag of responses, as you'd expect in this nuthouse
I tell ya what, there's no way we'll lose tomorrow.
We go into the bye with ; Reid, Varcoe, Wells, Elliot and Wills (don't underestimate this bloke) all on the cusp to return after it..... Kirby & Cox knocking on the door, Goldy to come back and White, who for all his knockers, can plug a hole.
I really like the way our backline is coming together. Dunne has been an excellent addition, Goldy superb, Howe in AA form, Shazza just hitting his straps and don't get me started on Elvis! This kid is amazing! Plays with the poise of a 100 game veteran and never takes a backward step... he's 20!!
6 and 6 at the half way mark, we definitely make the 8, with a slight sniff at the top 4.

When you find yourself praising and in agreement with Slobbo, it should be a clear sign that you are on the wrong side of the argument _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

We have more injuries overall but I'd argue Elliott and perhaps Reid are the only two missing as important as Gawn and Hogan.
We probably have 12 players who could fill our bottom 6 to 8 so our depth isn't to bad and I don't feel it'll be the reason should we lose tomorrow.
Melbourne have a good midfield and some quality young talent but they have holes in the lineup just like us so I feel If we bring intensity for the contest and kick for goal accurately we can still win. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
