After watching Pies since 1952 finals series I have witnessed many brave acts by men wearing the black and white jumper
Surely the courage shown by our Goldy on Sunday
rates with the very best

Is it just me, but I expect every Collingwood player to play like Goldy did. |

Goldsack played in a way that I would hope every Magpie player should. His courage and competitiveness under duress was magnificent.
Both he and Aish are to be commended for their heroic efforts.

When a player like young Aish shows that level of
commitment and Goldy keeps the ball locked in
to create an opportunity for the Crocker goal it
can turn tge season around
We are still in it of that I have NO doubt _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Wasn't born, just enhanced.
If we had 22 players with his heart take the field each week we would never lose a game. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

this thread makes me happy. I have felt like one of only a few to support Goldy over the past 12 months. Many want him out of the team because he isn't part of our future.
The things Goldy does cant be measured in stats and its great that we are finally seeing it.
By the way, if you go back over film this year, you will see about 10-15 incidents where Goldy fearlessly put his body on the line simply to thwart a forward thrust and he gets up like he was just involved in a train wreck. Then he does it again and again and again.
It has always been this way for Goldy.
If the guy had surer hands with the ball below his knees he would have been an absolute superstar of this league.
I'll still take Goldy in my team each week he is able to play please. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

First the Aish collision and then the Goldsack heroics.
These are the things that set tones for the season and bench marks for the group.
I reckon the Fremantle game was one we may have rolled over and lost 6 weeks ago. |

I was one. I take it back now. That was an awesome example of courage on Sunday. A true Collingwood champ. |

Goldy has always been that player who has played with complete passion and commitment and has always put his body on the line. Total respect. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |
