Thanks E and there will be "managed" players I suspect as its been alledged the pointy
end of season is when ya main men are available
For me I kinda think the young guys are on the crest of a wave to blow the game apart
But that just my opinion _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

So how many AFL listed players are in doubt for round one about one month away
Can club keep us in the know??? M |
Sinclair is likely out for the year!
Broomhead will not play round 1 and neither will Crocker or Sier.
Otherwise, i think we have a full squad to chose from (depending on whether Wells can get over his "Maxwell calf"). |
I'd probably add Brown, Langdon, Wills, McCarthy to that list. Hopefully, all are back in full training by round 1 and getting considered for the VFL praccy games.
Be also very interested to see how they manage Kirby. Certainly won't be senior ready by round 1 but hopefully they throw him into the VFL games just to whet the appetite and motivation. |

Anyone have any more news about Wells?
Bucks didn't seem too concerned about his small setback with his calf last week, but the media seems adamant that he won't play in round 1 though. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

So there is a nice team of injured players building. Cased on the emails above, here is the team so far.
B: Sinclair, Langdon
M: Wells, Wills, Brown
F: Elliot, Broomhead, Crocker, Kirby
Too early to know where they play: McCarthy, Sier
That's 11 (although only 4 from our best 22 on paper). We will probably have a decent 22 by the time the season proper rolls around! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Against Freo, yep, they won't.
Against the Tigers, or the Dogs, there's still a massive chance of both.
But we need to see at least one full game (or close to it) out of Wells, Reid and Elliott if they are to play round 1.
The thing is though, Wells and Elliott don't have to be 100% to play round 1.
I still remember the game against North at Etihad last year. Wells was ruled out of the game by MMM pre game, only to come out and run along the boundary during the first quarter. He then smashed us, absolutely killed us.
Billy is the same, if he's even 80% fit he's still better then any other small/medium forward we have. |

Agree and not all players across AFL start season 100 per cent
Its how they manage the niggling injuries and get game miles into
their bodies
Build to peak game form and let little niiggle take care of themselves (live with them)
ready for finals pressure _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

If Wells has a recurring injury, then he won't play for a few months. He'll have to prove he is 120% before he sees a senior game.
As for Billie, he'll get the point where they know a strapped ankle is strong enough and that he won't risk inflaming his back trying to compensate for an injured foot. |
