This Gubby Allen stuff has made me snap. I hate how the media go after our club at any opportunity because everyone "Loves to Hate" us. Any sniff of a story involving is a saga, is Buckley being sacked, is Eddie having to resign. Manufactured outrage. The pies are always in the gun sights.
You know what? Bring it.
I get that on here we can have a go at each others opinions about the club etc but the way threads dissolve into puerile attacks makes me think of all the people yelling at the players to just bloody kick it long. Argh..
2017 will be tough, just like any AFL year. Its a crazy hard comp. We cope it so often from everyone, all the time, be nice to see a little more support and respect around here. Us against them, lets smash em in 2017. _________________ "With us or against us, simple"

We sell papers mate. It's as simple as that. However I don't think we are targeted as much as some on here would have you think. If you don't like being the centre of attention and always in the news you should find a different club to support cos that's the way it is if you're Collingwood. I wish I could rock up to our games 5 mins before the siren and get a seat but I'd rather go to a game with 50,000 + there instead of 8,000 if you barracked for someone like North. That's Collingwood. Embrace it. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Currently watching an American Baseball doco called Catching Hell about curses in baseball - the Red Socks, the Chicago Cubs. Baseballs fly between fielders legs, a fan spoils a catch on the fence. Teams disintegrate, 1970 GF style.
This year I am enjoying the football prowess of Newcastle United, the Magpies of England, they have not won the league since 1928, they have not won the FA Cup since 1955. unfortunately they were relegated earlier this year, and are currently heading the second divvy. at least they are winning...
Count your blessings, folks. We can watch 2 winning grand finals in colour, and one in black and white. We can watch two drawn grand finals, and two night premierships. Not Hawthorn, but not too bad, better than in 1989... |

Sadly life as a Newcastle supporter has been met with many difficult moments especially recently after being relegated twice, we got a bit of a taste of European football but nothing major in almost two decades. Which is quite sad for such a big club.
But life could be worse for us Pie fans I agree, we've seen two premierships a night premiership, a long time of finals before we started to miss them the last three seasons. But there are so many yet to taste a flag in their lives. _________________ Ðavâgé

LOL! I just watched that yesterday in the lead-up to the World Series. Holy crap! The bruhaha over poor Steve Bartman was OTT, but the Cubs really did fall apart after that. 8 runs in an innings when the Cubs had 'em 2 out with nobody on, in the bottom of the 8th. It was Collingwood-esque that's for sure.
....and poor old Bruce Bucknor. He was in tears for 20 years.

Being a Collingwood supporter was never meant to be easy, but it's character-building!
Just think of the moment when we're successful again and the whole competition is silenced! _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
