Post subject: Josh Green 'delisted' from Brisbane Lions
|
He was on my trade radar. He's an annoying little head ducking crumbing goal sneak ... but we don't really have a front and centre opportunist like him. Apparently he demanded $500K from Brisbane, so they duly showed him the door. Kicked over 100 goals in 80 games for the Lions, led their goal kicking twice. Not a bad return playing in a cruddy team year on year. If he comes at the right price, and at 24, we could do worse than pick him up in the draft (while we wait and see the development of Daicos up forward). His '1-percenters' probably aren't up to snuff though ... although a new environment should see that pick up. _________________ Est. 2002 |

As a small forward, he's worth a look but I wouldn't break the bank for him either. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

No thanks. Prefer Broomhead as he can also play midfield. |

Josh Green played a lot of midfield for Clarence in the TSL, became a premiership player through that midfield.*
* Not suggesting we get him though, just stating that he has played midfield in the TSL as well as forward. _________________ Ðavâgé

Agreed. Avoid Green like the plague; we've enough forwards, just need to get them fit and firing for 2017. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

The big team is Essendon. Do not need him as we have plenty of others to do the job. _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

It's ok, we won't get Green, but we will take Nick Dal Santo. |

Pass.
And I'd be very disappointed if we looked at Del Santo unless we're getting him as a "break glass in emergency" type who plays predominantly VFL and has an on-field coaching role. |

i really don't think this is a priority |
Elliott | a lead-up, high flying 'small' forward
Fasolo | a lead up, sometimes high flying 'medium' forward
Crocker | a lead-up 'medium' forward
Blair | a lead-up, ill-advised high flying 'small' forward with the occasional high pressure acts
None of our current crop of small-medium forwards know where front and centre is.
Broomhead | genuinely knows how to crumb, but can't get on the park regularly
Mayne | a-lead up medium forward with high pressure acts
Hoskin-Elliott | a lead-up, high flying tall forward
Daicos | unproven 18-year old _________________ Est. 2002 |
