Priority picks can be traded. Many supporters bagged the crap out Mal before was traded to Bris. Mal was a rookie selection who played a lot of Vfl football in number 48 jumper. He was extremely inconsistent when he played forward in the AFL and was undisciplined. Frost has the potential to develop into a key defender and should not be traded lightly or disrespected by supporters. Mid to late second round pick is evans. _________________ Relentless aggression! |

So this'll be the 4th year in a row we've made a trade with the Lions? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Seeing Frost has been offered a 3 year contract at Brsbane, that alone would increase his value, wouldnt it?
Ive heard he is worth a very late pick......70s??
Surely we will get a pick that is worth points ( for the Daicos/Brown/ WHE trades )
Frost is 24. He is a key position player with 54 games under his belt and has beaten Hogan, Daniher, Franklin etc etc.
If we end up getting NO POINTS from Frost and Cloke combined then I give up. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

Probably a 3rd rounder at best, 70's pick too low. Looking at the draft order, the Lions have 48 and 57' so think it will be one of those picks. Didn't play at AFL level from round 12 onwards, so starting value is not high. |

^^ Glad you agree. 48 sounds about right.
Doesnt the fact that Brisbane offered him a 3 year contract affect his value though. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

I believe that only applies to unrestricted and restricted free agents, where the length and value of the contract are two of the factors that determine the compensation the club the free agent is departing from gets.
In Frost's case he is neither an unrestricted or restricted free agent, but the three year contract shows that they really want him, which should help us in trade negotiations and push them to cough up 48 or 57. |

Ok can someone explain this to me. We've given Brisbane a player and a 3rd & 4th round pick. They've given us a 3rd & 4th round pick. I realise their picks they've given us will be higher (as surely they'll finish lower) but I'm still not convinced. Haven't we paid overs??? _________________ i don't know how to put this but...

Dunno why, but Frosty seemed too lose all form, lost it all. I cant see us really missing him, very replaceable. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

So with pick 76 being the one we got for Cloke, it was effectively Cloke, Frost and next year's 3rd rounder for next years 3rd and 4th rounder from Brisbane.
At best, Cloke and Frost for a 4th round pick and an upgrade of 3rd.
I reckon Cloke is well past it but that deal still sounds like we lost. |

I always liked Frosty and had a soft spot for him despite his limitations, but unfortunately he fell out-of-favour during the season.
Wish him all the best for the future. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
