I am getting Sick of People Attacking negative Fans.
Saying they should Support Someone else is Disgusting Way to Talk about them.
They are Collingwood Fans who want to Vent and Call how they See It.
You don't have to agree what they say but don't show a Real lack of Dis-Respect to them and Collingwood.
People are allowed to Say what they Think. As Long as it's not a Personal Attack on anyone.

Maybe referring those fans as negative fans is not the way to go Dave |

Agree. By all means, disagree with what is said, but do it constructively.
Just because we don't support the decisions of the board, coach etc or don't believe certain players should or shouldn't play doesnt mean we don't still deeply care about the club.

I can tolerate criticism of players, the coach, the board or anyone at Collingwood, as long as it is done with respect and constructively.
As one who is a passionate Buckley fan, I nonetheless appreciate that our performances over the past few years have been poor and so Buckley's coaching deserves to be critiqued. It comes with the job. More than that, I recognise that it is legitimate that some will argue that we'd be better with a different coach. However, I think it's wrong for supposed Collingwood fans to heap vitriol and abuse on such a revered legend of our club.
Those who heap abuse on Collingwood should expect to receive the same from loyal Collingwood supporters. |

I agree
So much constructive argument is shut down by "SIDE BY SIDE!!!" and "WHY DON'T YOU SUPPORT 9thMOND!"
I do tend now to block people who abuse, and debate the issues with people who want to argue them
I don't want Nathan Buckley to be our coach, but I am a member and I PRAY he proves me wrong...I want us to win! _________________ We just got nutted at the clearances... |

The season for players, official's and fans is very
passionate and human nature is always going to
cause high's and low's with inconsistant year like
this one
For my feeling thru all the frustration we ALL have
been thru the worst is mostly behind us when you
look at Aish--Moore--Adams --Wills etc etc etc
So we stick with the club structure for a bit to see
how these young men evolve into a force
But let us still be able to voice a thoughtfull opinion _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

The fact you call them "negative" fans says a lot, because that's what they are.
Why should those who aren't negative be attacked for remaining positive?
There's also the argument that generally positive people in society view pessimists as little more than whinging speedbumps who offer nothing constructive, whereas pessimists seem to view optimists as deluded and unrealistic.
That bottle spins both ways Dave, but a little more civility and a little less trolling would be a good start. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Absolutely. Among recent choice epithets i have read on this board in reference to our coach we have "Mr Potato Head", "Phuckley", "shithead" as well as the fact-inventor Wolfboy's endless monotone chant (though to be fair, I don't think Wolfboy actually uses personal abuse like that above).
People who use the anonymity of a board like this to abuse one of the very greatest Collingwood players of all time, a man who has a hundred times the leadership skills and football credentials of anybody posting here, do not deserve respect. The rules of the board do not allow me to say what i think of their character (though i think it is shown by their own posts), but i will certainly attack their arguments.
Those who argue that Buckley is not the right coach without that type of vitriol are of course entitled to their view. There are many excellent posters on this board who take that view, and fair play to them. But those whose comments on Buckley are troll-like don't get the respect pass, sorry.
I should add the Dyso exemption. He attacks everyone with a certain amount of liberal personal abuse after a loss, but it's good natured and funny and he's such a passionate Pies fan that he's allowed. The Dyso rant after a loss is one of the only good things about losing. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

So he incured the wrath of the really departed eh
One not so "Jolly" soul was dis enchanted i hear
And the "Heata" not hot on him also
But they are gone and Nathan is still there
At time's frustrated with a brilliant near perfect display followed up by our pants being pulled down
I wonder if NB has control of things but gee as I said

Mugs, truth be told mate, I HATE losing. We all do.
We all love the Club itself, me no more than anybody else who posts on the forum. True, it could be argued we have funny ways of showing that.
Sure sometimes I can be disrespectful to certain players and coaching staff. Thus I have to wear any of the flack attached to those calls.
I don't hate Buckley; but he is really trying me the last couple of seasons. I don't think he has proven to be an adept AFL coach in this window.
Obviously, this view isn't exactly always detailed by myself as a constructive criticism, for want of a better term.
I will always appreciate his on field efforts from 1994-2007.
I still look back on the old recordings and marvel at his talent by hand and foot, off both sides of his body.
So take me to task over Buckley and Blair [and any others] by all means, I will try my best to give you a measured reply, for better or worse.
Sure they are both proud and loyal servants of the club, but they are merely employees performing a paid role under contract.
They are not our personal friends; this isn't Facebook.
I wish I didn't feel the need to vent and rant after a loss.
Ultimately, It is all for nothing, as the team's fortunes isn't an entity we have any control or influence over. It is only an opinion - nothing more, nothing less. So if you read them, please take with a grain of salt.
Or by all means block me, if my ramblings are below your accepted standard of decency. Or report me to the mods, if your feel i've gone overboard. I'm not above the rules of this forum; they've pulled me into line before, and will no doubt do it again.
And go easy on the Mods too please peeps.
Remember, they have better things they could be doing with their time, instead of policing this creche, in which us petulant toddlers hurl toys out of the cot with brutal velocity at all who dare taunt us.
And the mods do contribute; unlike Blair [standard Dyso cheap-shot - you knew it was coming!] And for significantly less coin too.
Any and all polite PMs will be promptly answered politely
cheers peeps,
Carna Pies

Very funny.
What the holders of the faith don't understand.
All the club is fair game but other nicksters are not.
But it is a waste of time telling them that.
And this thread will be removed very soon i suspect. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |
