Can we afford Treloar to handball 38 times in one game? |

given our current game style you'd be disappointed if treloar only had 38 handballs. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I would be more concerned with Sidey's 18 turnovers that's 10 goal,head start for bitchmond 🤑 |

We're up and about and full of confidence and so we should win this game. The tiges are in hell at the moment and this is a perfect opportunity to smash our rival into oblivion.
Don't think we'll make too many changes (if any) but we need to clean up our possession and movement of the ball. I like the run and carry but we have a tendency to over use it then turn it over at a crucial moment. The only thing that saved us last week I think was our defensive pressure and ability to tackle and harass the weegles. They couldn't cope or respond to it. A better side may have beaten us but I liked how we never laid down.
In: clean ball use and clever decision making, accuracy in front of goal
Out: sloppy disposal, and overusing the ball |

In 2016, Sidebottom is presently ranked at Collingwood:
- 2nd in kicks (behind Pendlebury);
- 3rd in marks (behind Reid and Howe);
- 3rd in total disposals (because he doesn't handball nearly as much as the other midfielders);
- 5th in the goal-kicking (behind Fasolo, Moore, White and Cox);
- 6th for tackles;
- 6th for rebounds (of the midfielders, only Pendles is ahead of him);
- 3rd in inside 50s;
- 3rd for goal assists;
- 7th in clearances (because you want your best user of the ball to be getting it on the outside); and
- 7th for clangers (but Greenwood, Treloar, Crisp and De Goey all have more - and Pendles has the same number).
He averages 2.75 clangers per game this season. Since he kicks so much, as a proportion of his disposals, and has more kicks per game than Treloar or Pendlebury (he has 13.6 kicks per game, whilst Pendles has 13.3 and Treloar has 12.1), you'd expect him to have more clangers than the guys who handball more of the time. But that's not the case - Treloar has 3.2 clangers per game, Adams has 3.3 and Greenwood has nearly 4. Pendles is slightly better than Sidey (averaging 2.4).
So, one way to look at it is to say that for every 3 games played, Sidey has one more kick and one more clanger than Pendlebury. That is, of course, why they are both elite. |

Does anyone in our team have an avg clanger count that's less than 2?
Maybe Blair has. _________________ kill for collingwood!

So Blair will play the hit-up target at CHF (as he has for his last 100 games) in place of Moore - but how does Cox replace De Goey? |

It's pretty clear that De Goey needs a reality check about where he's at, to refocus his footballing and get back to the VFL and really rip it up for a couple of weeks, before returning to the seniors and staying there for the next 10 years. |

cox can rove his own work when he brings the ball to the ground. he is best placed to be front and square. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Someone has to mark inside 50 and kick goals, because Cloke can't. |

Tim Broomhead (1.5). Wills (1). Goldsack (1.5). Macaffer (1.5). There are probably plenty of others - it tends to be a stat that goes down the less you kick the ball, frankly, so the players who haven't had it much tend to do "well". |
