I totally agree with Stui.

"I'm sick of Collingwood hanging our hats on achievements from nearly a century ago. Lets get with the program and move forward and create a new history"

This whole thread is one of the worst 'twisted knickers' topics I've seen in years - even aside from the nonsensical '4 peat' reference. We didn't win 5 on the trot.

It was a struggle but, in the end, they did just about triple Richmond's score and they surely would have, if they'd kicked straighter.

Hawthorn just scraped home - by 70 points. Smile

They kicked 12.7 to 2.7 in the last half.

Hawks run home:

Carlton in Tassie.
Melbourne at MCG.
Kangaroos at MCG.
West Coast in Perth.
Collingwood at MCG.

Currently sitting 1st, and two games clear of 2nd, they'd have to lose at least two of those five games to fall out of the top 4.

Teams currently 2nd to 7th are all equal on points (48.)

-North are gone. (They might still fall out of the top 8.) Nothing to see here.

-Bulldogs look gone with all the injuries they are suffering. Shame. They might have had a chance if they had a fit team.

-Adelaide can finish top four with their run home. Dont know if they can beat the Hawks in an MCG final, but in Adelaide they can.

-West Coast have a tougher run home, including a game Vs the Hawks in WA. They'll have to win that, otherwise it's likely the Hawks will finish 1st.

-Geelong have the easiest run home. They will be top 4. Can they beat the Hawks in a final? Yes, I think they can. But I hope it doesn't come down to barracking for the Cats.

-Sydney will also be top 4. They have a team that can beat the Hawks, especially if the game is in Syd.

-GWS might find themselves in the top 4. But I feel like a final against the Hawks, no matter what ground it is at, would be to much of a task.

So in short, I think if the Hawks have to travel to Perth, Adelaide or Sydney, they can be beaten. If the Hawks finish on top and win their first final, there will be no traveling involved. Which, for me, means that the Cats and Swans are the only hope of stopping Fourthorn.

If they lose to WCE in round 22, the game against us might determine their top 4 spot.

Yeah. Right.

They just got walloped by Melbourne, who kicked the last 5 goals of the match.

Shame they have a 4 point bye in the last round. Would be good if they had to play a team to get those four points.

Rioli will be in the clear as he is the AFL's poster boy for all players with his skin colour.
