well...does anyone know?
i thought we'd be playing the bulldogs this week, then the tigers, but they have the two matches in alternate positions.
Does anyone know why this is so?

I just checked the AFL media guide for 2001. It has a detailed explanation for the reasoning for the draw. It has no reason for the switch of Collingwood vs Richmond and Bulldogs vs Brisbane games this week.
The only logic I can see is that Collingwood played the Bulldogs and Richmond played Brisbane on a saturday last time. The games where on the same day because breaks needed to be maximised prior to the Anzac day game. Maybe it has something to do with this.
May the St Kevin's Old Boys Prevail. |
