This is a significant win. Giants are playing a very innovative type of footy, it looks like rugby union in some stretches. Pies did very well.
When the giants get a bit of maturity in them they will be flag contenders.
i have watched heater add a level of toughness and commitment to them, you can hear him yelling away in the back line. Of course, he also still gives frees away... _________________ ___________________

Even Blair was staying down for crumbs. Amazing what happens when we have numbers at the feet of marking contests all over the ground. Was a (belated) delight to see. |
Yep, at quarter time behind 7 goals to 3, was thinkin' yep, this is running to script alright. Was neither angry or dissapointed at the time, just conditioned to getting outplayed by a superior team.
And then... WTF?! That was the most unlikely and unexpected form reversal since that 9 goal 3rd quarter against North melbourne in 2015.
Totally different to the Geelong match earlier this season, where we ambushed them in first quarter and held them at bay until the final siren.
Yet the effort was replicated in this instance, all the players bought-in to the challange, played intelligent football, hit the target with their disposal, then reaped the rewards on the scoreboard.
Don't you love it when our F50 doesn't look a cluttered dogs-breakfast, and as a result is effectively functional?
Don't tell me football isn't played 90% between the ears.
I simply ask [read: demand] this same effort and mindset be brought to the table against the Cows this week, regardless of the result.
Not sure why GWS had such a form lapse after their bye.
Surely it was mental, and part tactical? Definately not a fitness issue.
Anyhoo, don't care; not our problem.... F*cking Oompa Loompas.... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Interesting that we had a younger (age average) and more inexperienced team than GWS on the weekend:
GWS - 24 years, 338 days (2178 games experience)
Collingwood - 24 years, 200 days (2026 games experience)

It bodes well for the future. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
