...and why? (If you can remember!)
2007: Liberal Party (lower and upper house)
TPP: Liberals
2010: Greens (lower and upper house)
TPP: Labor
2013: Greens (lower), Wikileaks Party (upper)
TPP: Labor
At this stage, it looks like I'll be voting Greens in the lower house and the Sex Party in the upper house, with Labor ahead of Liberal in both.
If you're a swinging voter, what times of your life have you switched parties, and why? And if you're rusted on, what was the closest you ever came to voting for the other side? _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I nearly voted at some recent elections but came to my senses just in time. Voting just encourages them. |

Don't really remember the upper house. the Sex party was in there though somewhere.
In the lower house as far as I recall,
2007 Liberal cos I thought Krudd was a tool
2010 Labor cos I thought Gillard deserved a chance
2013 Liberal cos labor blew it and Krudd was a tool. although I may have just voted Labor as I'm in a safe Labor seat anyway. I don't really remember.
This year I'll probably vote Liberal because Shorten is a twat but haven't decided yet. I may just write "Go Pies" in large letters on both papers. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

You can go back further than 07 if you like! That's just when I started voting. I'm curious to know whether you voted for the Nuclear Disarmament Party in your youth, Stui. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Always ALP in my younger days. I've voted Greens recently and sometimes deliberately informal - I get so sick of the cynicism & corruption (not to mention the three word slogans) of the major parties that I feel that a vote for them would show tacit approval of their behaviour. _________________ Side by side. |

I've always voted Labor, before I moved to another electorate I knew the candidates for Labor and they were seen and known to be doing stuff before the elections. I only heard of the others when it was time to vote. In Queenstown I had no idea who the candidates were so that was a tough one.
This time around I am not too sure who I am voting since I've no idea the candidates I've only seen Jane Austin from Lyons out and about, she was at the footy last Claremont homegame. I was the only voter in the family not to be invited to the Liberal Parties info session at Brighton, not that I would have gone, but if they want me to know their candidate an invite would have been nice. _________________ avg

I've only voted in one federal election so far:
2013: Liberal Party (Lower House) Liberal Democrats (Upper House)
TPP: Liberal Party
Voted the Liberals because I was fed up with the instability that Rudd and Gillard caused in Australian politics however the current government hasn't been much better. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
