It's up to Travis to get out of the VFL. I like the way he is talking, all we need is him to do the walking. |

I was thinking the same thing around 7.30 tonight, but then AFL 360 showed some more comments he made today and he hinted that he wasn't getting much support outside of that given by the players. Uh oh! He might have to do a bit of grovelling to get his place back as quickly as he thinks he should. |

Forget about Cloke, I'm done with this dumb ass. Could not believe the crap he was spewing on the radio about people at the club not wanting him in the seniors. What is this guy's problem? What a sook! Finally getting what he has deserved for the past 3 years and instead of towing the line he does a MM and goes crying to the media. Grow a pair you spud or piss off! We have Darcy, White and Cox all looking like they can pull their weight now, we don't need this muppet anymore. And I am grateful for it. Like some have said, Cloke would have lost that game for us against the Cats, I bet he would have sprayed a few that day when we need a goal from him.....rot in the VFL. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Not that I suppose I should really anticipate a coherent approach to such things - but how do you reconcile your negative views about Cloke with your firmly-held views about what should have happened with the coaching in 2011? Cloke was the centre-piece of the forward lines selected by both coaches for more than a decade. Is there some special mini-dynasty Collingwood could have had that didn't involve playing the best CHF in the AFL in its side? |

Yeah, sounded a bit like he has yet to "own" the problem, or the reasons why he was dropped.
Maybe he was told this morning that he still won't be playing in the seniors this week. He might have thought that 4 goals in the VFL should've done the trick. Er no, Trav, not when the boys already in there are kicking them nice and straight. |

Bit of a shame, actually. Had he kicked 7-10 goals - and he was on track to do so the end of the first quarter - he'd have been demanding a recall. Four goals at that level from a forward of his standing is a bare pass. I hope the powers-that-be at the Club have at least left him feeling that he can get back. If he believes he is gone whatever he does, then we are burning down a huge asset. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Cloke is barely a shadow of the player he once was, put him in the VFL 3 years ago and he would've kicked 18. _________________ Defender...........

You'd imagine they would be doing all they could to help him get his confidence and hustle back, (but who really knows if you're not in the inner sanctum). Apparently Bucks was talking to him at three-quarter time in the VFL last week, after his very big day at the office.
Perhaps, they're just not willing to "gift" him his place back and really want him to prove beyond doubt that he would do as well as the big men currently in the seniors. Time will tell I guess. |

Well despite my misgivings, I was prepared to welcome him back to the seniors at some stage, but not now. Once again he has gone crying to the media and sewing seeds of discontent in our club. It's always about him. Well, this is the last straw. I hope we sell him for a sack of potatoes at the end of the season. Goodbye Travis. They have to put him back in soon. To see if it works or not. I'd have him in as a mobile CHF, leave the deep one out stuff to the big guy who can usually kick them from that distance. Moore can play on one flank and be the Gunston. Fasolo in the pocket. White on the wing or as a high flank. Crocker the other pocket. _________________ Get back on top. |

Nah don't read too much into the media stuff. Bucks wanted him to show passion so he showed some. I didn't read as much discontent into his words and tone as the media are running with. One thing I have learned about Buckley is that you can't tell him what to do. Yes he has some unusual fetishes about Sinclair but Buckley has made the big calls, even his critics have to credit him with balls. _________________ Get back on top. |

It's a bit of a headache for the selection panel isn't it. I agree that we need to see if it will work with Clokey in there and what you've suggested sounds good to me. Ideally, I reckon another round this week in the VFL for him would've been good, to see if he could build on his four goals and improvement last week..... but they're having a bye. Bugar!
Put him in the seniors this week and it will look as though they've given in to his whinging. So, by the time he has another game in the VFL, another 2 weeks have gone by. That's becoming an embarassingly long stretch in the seconds, for someone of Cloke's (former?) stature. So, Trav may not be happy, but I think he just has to grow some and wear it. |
