I don't get that, of course you chew ém. Where did the idea you don't come from?
Check out these 9 different ways from the oyster bar in Mandurah.... delicious!
Oyster flesh has a wondrous texture and, like any piece of meat, should be chewed. This also releases the full flavour, and the juice from the shell completes the experience. (Some insist on swallowing oysters in one; each to their own.) They can be zipped up with lemon juice, vinegar, seasoning or Tabasco sauce.

Oyster Eating Do’s and Don’ts
http://www.bonappetit.com/trends/article/how-to-eat-and-taste-an-oyster
DO:
Find a server with opinions to help you choose wisely.
Eat with your eyes first: a healthy oyster fills out the sturdy shell with fat, firm meat.
Feel free to send oysters back (an oyster should be swimming in the shell, never dry).
Order a few of the same type. Give yourself multiple tastes to identify its character.
Beware of oysters that are thin, watery, snotty, or contain a lot of tissue.
DON’T:
Slurp-and-swallow. Chew 2 or 3 times.
Think all oysters are the same. Most East Coast oysters are the same species (Virginica), but taste different depending on origin and season.
Drown oysters in toppings. Always eat the first one “naked.”
Eat oysters at a restaurant that pre-shucks. Yuck. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

I ate oysters straight out of the river when I was a kid. Au natural with sea water is the best way to eat them. They are very high in minerals and are extremely nutritious. They are filter feeders so where they come from is important. I have heard that Ceduna oysters are the best. |

Yeah nup. You can have em. I chewed even though the SIL told me just swallow em.
Texture and flavour not to my liking in any way shape or form. Yuk. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

What a day!
Mr Mum can't believe how quick the days go (It's actually keeping me off the piss coz I never stop running around in the car )
I managed to get in a nice pace run over a hilly 9.5k course this morning. Stretched it out a bit and ended up averaging 4:53 min k's, again, bringing it home strong with the fastest k's being my last 2.
Rest day tomorrow, slow 6k around the lake on Saturday morning before I smash the HBF half on Sunday
Diets been excellent. I've got into making veg/fruit juices for Kelly. That one I made today was nice. Apple, Orange, Celery, Beetroot, Carrot, Bok Choy and Kale.
Dinner was apricot chicken that one of Kellys workmates was nice enough to drop off today _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Shit...... another very average lead up, thanks to the Pies!!!!
BOOM!!! Too many beers but who cares.... how good was that?!?!
0645 start so plenty of time.
Been a bbq, beer fest watching the game. Cold and wet (35mm of rain last 24hrs) here, showers and strong wind forecast for the morning.
A PB?..... just maybe. Don't feel up to smashing 21k rite now, but, I never do.
Loved that win... GO PIES!! _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

It's 5am. I've been up since 3.30. Had some toast, a banana and a coffee. Getting some fluids in me and making a few deposits to the loo.
It's not as wild as I thought it would be this morning, a few showers and the wind is only around the 8 - 15 knots mark. The 100 minutes is a real chance today
Start time is 6.45 so I'll head in to the city just before 6. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Happy to have run a new PB (1:40:36), but that 36 seconds is going to haunt me for a while.
EDIT : Official time 1:40:31
Just looking at my splits and thinking about the run....
Started out feeling very average when I woke up at 3:30 this morning, way too much to drink yesterday. Got there with heaps of time in hand and couldn't believe I needed shit number 4!
Found those portaloos, walked into one and you know that stench, sit down in here and I'm going to be spewing as well as dumping! Out of there and into a fresh one. That out of the way, I get to the start line and do a bit of a warm up.
Got the nasty voices in my head feeding the doubt.
We start at 6:45, the usual heavy traffic for the first few k's plus the climb up St Georges Tce into Kings park sees my first few ks @ 5:08 & 5:03, slower than where I wanted but ok, I'm feeling a bit more positive as we start a decline.
I string together some nice k's up to the 10k mark; 4:29 & 4;37 the best 2.
At the half way mark I think, this 100 minutes is mine!
I was feeling good just had a few k's where I slipped back a bit and didn't quite have the legs over the last 5k.
Still, an awesome prep for the big one, which is just 6 weeks away now.
Another 30k next weekend and a few 35's the following weekend before the taper begins. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count.

Dude I don't know how you could do that after having a session the day before. Maybe have one of those AFD's the night before, next time. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
