They same Melbourne Demons that Essendon beat?? Richmond is really bad at the moment. Maybe even worse than when we played them. Collingwood has 3 of its main goal kickers over the past few seasons in Cloke Swan and Elliot. Lets see where Melbourne when they get tested by injuries. Lets see where Richmond is without Reiwolt Vickey and Martin. Dont underestimate the army Bucks in building. I still think our list is better than Richmond or Melbourne and that Dusty or Watts would favour a move to Pieland. Ill still take Dusty as i think he will contribute to what might potentially be the greatest midfield of all time as long as Treloar Adams Aish Crisp De Goey all develop as we hope. Add Pendlebury Steele Dusty and Greenwood and its a mouthwatering proposition. Richmond is a sinking ship. We could offer Cloke and Keefe. And with Swans surplus chase someone like Hooker.

The same Melbourne Demons that Essendon beat?? Yep, that's them! That was obviously the catalyst for their remarked turnaround.
Tiggers have the sads indeed. Good! Sink like the Titanic for all we care!
I think we all agree we have better a list than Richmond or Melbourne, BUT our standard of disposal is putrid, as is the game plan.
Still, I see no need for Watts at Collingwood though, I suggest he ride out this purple-patch at Melbourne for as long as it lasts...
Doubt we will part with Keeffe, he's being groomed to replace Brown or Reid, or whichever KPP falls over to injury first.
Josh Thomas may or may not come back reformed in 2017.
But first things first; start winning more games, or nobody will favour a move to Pieland...

Cloke will be back, I'm still shocked he was dropped and not sure I understand why. Unfortunately for Trav, I think it's an exercise in how the team can manage without him rather than his own form, although not that great. It's the only logical conclusion I can come up with, which ever way you look at it, it was a brave decision. I suspect the Cox and Moore combo will go ok in future but if we want to get anywhere this season, Cloke will be back in a game or two.

Well, he played his second game in the Magoos. Who wants to guess? Yep, that's right, first goal of the game then nuffin. One or two behinds, not sure. They are saying he played better further up, took some good marks, but shit, while he's down there why the f**k don't they try him at half back?! It could be the rekindling of his game! I believe the goal-kicking pressure weighed heavily and prevented him from enjoying the game.
Come on Buckley! What will it take!!!
I can't see how he comes back to the ones before playing a decent game in the Magoos.
HALF BACK!!!!

HALF BACK!!!! |
A lot of the game was played with all the players in one half or the other, which was why he took some marks up on the wing and half back. He covered the ground well and worked hard, more often driving the ball deep forward than being the deep target.
When he went deep forward the Bloos had two players on him at all times, one in front and one behind. He was scragged and manhandled and borderline analy raped at one point and the umpires totally ignored it.

For fear that it may go unnoticed, the team today, without him, has kicked 8 goals and is presently 10+ goals behind.
The two KPFs, between them, have had 9 kicks, 6 marks and 6 hit-outs. Now, the two boys have kicked 4 goals from their 9 kicks but, seriously, how can they be expected to carry the load?

If I were to chart the progress of Clokes career in a graph, what would I see?
A build up of the line between 2005-2011, a plateau for a couple of years, and then descent.
This could be for any number of reasons......

Cloke needs to be back - at the very least Moore and Cox get the 2nd and 3rd best big defenders. It will provide around an extra 5 goals from our big guys most games having al; 3 playing.
Of course let Cloke play further up the ground mainly…

Cloke's stats from the Northern Blues game:
1 Goal
3 Behinds
22 Disposals
18 Kicks
4 Handballs
6 Marks
4 Tackles
104 Dream Team (6th highest)
Seems an improved effort on last week. Still can't kick for goal.
