I'm not a Blair fan by a long stretch but I think he's been judged harshly by many posters
I believe the loss of Elliott has hurt our forward pressure immensely
At the moment Blair is working one out in that department and I think that is part of the reason Cloke finds himself in the seconds
Fasalo is not a defensive type forward hence his time in the VFL last year playing back trying to learn.
As for goal kicking Blair wouldn't have kicked many goals as we've had little to no decent service into ththe 50 and what has come on has rebounded back just as fast
Cox & Moore made room for him and Fasalo and Sidey on Monday and we looked better.
As for Aish I'll cut him some slack. He's turned up with huge raps on him but hasn't delivered yet. Remember this is a kid with 30 odd games and all of those bar a handful were played at the Brions were he looked better because he's team mates where shit
Give the kid a chance he will be fine in time
I would play Smith again and if possible give Phillips a game soon as well
Might as well play the younger ones and get exper nice into them
As for Cloke he's just gone down hill since start of 2014. Whether it's his mates like heater going or daisy going I don't know but he hasn't looked happy or dangerous like he did prior to 2014. He looks like a guy out of love with the game
I hope he gets back to his best because he has shown he can be the best power forward in the game when on |

I agree, for some reason though he hasn't been winning contested ball in the middle. Maybe this was just a one off, anyway I liked it and that meant Pendles stayed in the middle.
My only criticism of the captain is please stop handballing to Grundy, he doesn't and can't think like Pendles. |
This. The amount of times Pendles hand balled to a stationery Grundy who took an eternity to get ball to boot was as frustrating a sight as I can remember. Just kick the damn thing yourself, skip! _________________ Est. 2002 |

I still disagree with your analysis.
I don't have blind hate for Blair as some Posters always claim.
Last year I gave him best on ground during one match.
This wad noted by the mods when the votes were tallied on Nicks.
I don't think his game on Sunday was great.
It was certainly better than the previous 4 weeks.
When he consistently plays well, I will change my tune on him. |
Yet it's Thursday evening and your STILL rabbiting on about him after what was reasonable and sound game! Again you deserve to be pulled up on it.
How about just supporting the guy after a decent hit out. That's not a personal attack on you, just a request to give it a rest in the one week he probably doesn't deserve it. But no, here we are, another week of dud this and dud that. If that's not blinded by your own perspective what is?
I don't dislike you Thomsoc, it's just credit where it due mate.
Until there is a viable alternative to Blair you should really just get used to the fact he likely won't get dropped, and appreciate that he's probably doing his best for you each and every week even if his best is not that great sometimes.
You never know Someone like Crocker may change things sooner that later.
P.s. If you were, please dont lump me in your ss vs "perceptive fellow" crap.....its unproductive rubbish nicks could do without IMO and I sit in neither camp with any permanence. _________________ No Pressure, No Diamonds

Thinking we'll see final changes of:
in: Sinclair, Langdon, Broomhead
out: Varcoe, Aish, Maynard
Could be Toovey over Aish (or maybe Maynard), but I see Aish and Broomehad as similar types and Aish was not good against the Bombers. _________________ Well done boys! |

So Langdon comes straight back in. I thought Maynard was OK last week & he needs stability (as does the backline). I reckon we need his run & carry, then again there is also Sinkers. Blair would be unlucky to miss. Broomhead had game he'd prefer to forget last week last week but played well in the two preceding VFL games. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Sinclair for Trav you'd think.
No other changes judging from the IC....slightly surprised Cloke didn't get a recall, doesn't bode well for old mate _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

Langdon already named in the BP doesn't sway you?
Once dropped, Cloke was always going to miss 2-3 games so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Which Trav? hehe.
Varcoe is a really good chance to play next week versus the Blues, although will depend how he trains leading into it.
Cloke needs a big VFL game to push his way back in, would like to see him against that weak excuse for a Carlton backline though next week. |
