Richmond won't be dealing with us again after the Treloar farce.
Watts would be out of his mind to contemplate leaving Melbourne now. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

As I've said previously, his last two senior games have been career-average ones for him - not starring, certainly, but giving what he has given most weeks for 12 years. It smacked of giving in to the idiot fringe in order to be seen to be "making a tough stand". There have been many disappointments for us all over the last year but this is the first decision that left me questioning whether the driver is still in charge of the bus. |
I agree with most of that but I think the club wanted to send a message to the playing group and dropping Cloke was the easiest vehicle to deliver that otherwise Cloke would have retained his spot and Moore would have been dropped.
Likely he'll miss at least 1 more senior game. Hopefully he has a ripper next weekend. |

Bucks just said on 360 that tracks' time in the seconds is a short term process
He said Travis knows what is required is sit about effort on effort and contesting
He also said the tall forwards today run to goods positions inside 50 and made it easier for our delivery
At half time we had 28 inside 50's for 20 scores which is nearly unheard of general rule in 1 in 3 or worse
Will be interesting to see when the return actually happens and Travis form or what he actually does in the seconds to warrant a return
Maybe Buck's is foreseeing some more injuries |

I'm glad that he was smart enough to talk about positioning etc because otherwise it might tend to look like he'd dropped a 6 mark, 2 goal, 12 kick per game all time great CHF and replaced him with a 5 mark, 2 goal, 6 kick CHF, which wouldn't necessarily seem quite so clever. |

On yesterday's form you couldn't pick Trav.
But he was screwed by the Umps time and time again.
But he just does't go hard enough for long enough.
Love to see him play wing and tell him to run wild. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

--- I dont think Richmond could say no to Keefe and Cloke. Rance definetley needs some help back there. That will show in the next two weeks. Houli is good but not a KP player. Dusty is the perfect replacment for Swan and seems to have his issues in check since we were last interested in him. Martin coming to Collingwood will be the difference between him being a very good player or being a champion premiership player. There is no doubt that if Dusty comes to Collingwood then no team will be able to match our midfield for years to come. Your comment about Melbourne is hilarious. Lets see where we are at next time we play them in 7 weeks. I would offer Melbourne Cloke and Witts/Keefe. Dusty is the one we want though!!!!! _________________ Gavin Brown.. Richmond have Vickery and Riewoldt. They don't need Cloke and certainly won't be trading Martin for him. |

No point trading him while his value has gone down to buggery, better off keeping him and working with him to get him to contribute as a role player if he can't get back to his dominating best. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

N35, I would be surprised if we pursued Martin.
I don't think he fits the "character traits" of a person McGuire and Buckley want to be bringing into the club. Has his issues in check? Well, he hasn't abused somebody in public since late last year, so it's a start.
Otherwise we may have chased Harley Bennell in the last trade period, after he parted with GCS, if we wanted a good ball user with a rap-sheet.
And my comment about Melbourne is hilarious?
Indeed, I too laughed as Watts kicked a bag against us, and Kennedy ran amok! And they repeated the dose against Richmond the other night, while your hero Martin WAS THAT PATHETIC he couldn't even bare to look Hardwick in the face at 3-qtr time huddle. But I digress...
Next time we face Melbourne, they'll have Bernie Vince back too, as well as Jeffy Garlett, so that's at least 4 goals we'll need to make up on top of the 6 they pantsed us by last week. Even if we did donate at least 2 goals their way via Grundy and Langdon's ball slaughtering.
Personally, I think Melbourne have finally turned the corner under Roos.
They are actually good to watch again! If they aren't doing it now, they never will.
Happy to revisit this thread come Queens birthday week! _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

^ on melbourne, too many people think it's the melbourne of 2-3 years ago. they are a different outfit and the next few weeks will show if they are the real deal or not. they are playing a good brand of footy that is enjoyable to watch. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

They've had nearly as many first round picks as GWS in recent years, they'd want to be on the improve. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

and then they will add petracca to the mix. for a change and to our detriment they haven't wasted their early picks in the last few years. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

They same Melbourne Demons that Essendon beat?? Richmond is really bad at the moment. Maybe even worse than when we played them. Collingwood has 3 of its main goal kickers over the past few seasons in Cloke Swan and Elliot. Lets see where Melbourne when they get tested by injuries. Lets see where Richmond is without Reiwolt Vickey and Martin. Dont underestimate the army Bucks in building. I still think our list is better than Richmond or Melbourne and that Dusty or Watts would favour a move to Pieland. Ill still take Dusty as i think he will contribute to what might potentially be the greatest midfield of all time as long as Treloar Adams Aish Crisp De Goey all develop as we hope. Add Pendlebury Steele Dusty and Greenwood and its a mouthwatering proposition. Richmond is a sinking ship. We could offer Cloke and Keefe. And with Swans surplus chase someone like Hooker. _________________ Gavin Brown.. Collingwood lifting..Right on the boundary line, back to Milane likewise... DAICOS nearly runs out of room........
