Caff is pretty practised at reinventing himself, he's done it numerous times now. |

Interesting that he says he's not "best 22" but over the past 3 seasons would there be one week where our best 22 actually lined up on the park together?
If fit and in some form Caff plays seniors IMO, in fact I'd have him ahead of Goldy who fittingly is one of the outs from the leadership group. |

Love the Caff! Met him twice and both times he was happy to have a quick chat. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Totally agree Matty - how often do the best 22 play for any club?
I also agree with Caf and think he is not in the best 22 on paper - atm, however by the end of the year I suspect he will be in the team and on paper in our best 22. Maybe he will play a utility role like Goldy? He seems to have an open attitude, embracing change and the challenges thrown his way which gives him a great opportunity to make the most of his chances.
Another 'new' recruit really.
Giving him a leadership role has a lot of merit. He has had a tough road - but has a great attitude. He may be in and out like a few players fighting for spots on the fringes, however his attitude of taking whatever comes your way and just giving your best when it counts will be very relevant for a big bunch of guys on our list.

To me, Caffs not great, but I like him. His value must be highly regarded by the club though, and in that I trust. Like Johhno before him (although a far better player IMO), his leadership and maturity to the young players must be invaluable (or so is the impression I get). So as a valued Clubman, Viva La Caff. Probably not gunna set the world on fire, but if he influences and contributes to others around him improving and guiding them to be better magpie champions...lets get it on! _________________ Enjoy yourself. Great read and reflects the quality of the man and why he was included into the leadership group this year. Played some good solid footy through the midfield when he returned to VFL last year and I think with a full preseason under his belt he'll surprise a few when he gets his opportunities at senior level... and he will get opportunities at senior level. |

Agreed mate - how good is it to hear I don't care where i play - back or forward etc etc.
The side must have missed him a lot, proven versatile leader with discipline, skills and flair could be handy.
Sounds like he is rock solid and lets hope he has front seat on that karma bus heading to Downtown September. |

I think we'll find the game has passed him by already; not faulting his loyalty to the club, or application to returning from those knee injuries though, but prove me wrong by all means.
Just think we need to be phasing out the 2010-2011 players who have hit their peak output already, and have plateaued: Caffa, Blair, Toovey, Goldy etc. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
