you are very wrong about Sinclair. And it is obviously still from the first impression he gave us when nerves or whatever it was (perhaps the sometimes spoken of difficulty young players having kicking well when they are fatigued - something Pendlebury has spoken about at length).
He had an ok game on Friday, but what is very evident is that he is one of the designated guys down back to get the ball to (along with Reid and Maynard) because his disposal by foot is excellent.
I think he is being another two years because his combination of speed and foot skills along with his ability to shut down the person he is assigned to are three valuable tools in a defender.
Given the very good group of back flankers and the likely move of Pendles down back to the Hodge role in the future, Sinclair may not be in our best 22 next year, but in a season a 22 games plus finals, the 25th player would likely play up to 15 games. I'd rather have Sinclair play those games than a player without those skills.
I also find it terrible the way we mock players just for sport and without too much basis - especially when they have clearly worked their asses off to make the absolute most of their talents. He was a pretty darn successful pick 62 or whatever he was.
Ben, congrats on 50 solid games for the pies! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

great summary e. people need to let go of the notion he is a bad kick. sinkers is very much a big part of our plan so supporters need to get behind him. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
