And better still to see it happen on the night we finally put these has-beens away where they belong. |
Thanks for that. Didn't realise he was playing, the commentators barely mentioned it . |
Oh my god how annoying was it! |
Not annoying in the slightest. But then I had quality broadcasters calling the game. You would too if you threw away that useless damn TV set and watched the game on ABC radio. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

A small cruciform ligament of the knee joint - comes in posterior and anterior variants.
Slightly more seriously, I know the commentators went on about it ad nauseam, but credit to the lad for showing enormous courage. It was good to see him do well when his team was so shite. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Very nice indeed to see Greenwood play his first ever quality game for the Pies. It's been a long wait while he recovered from his broken leg, resumed in the twos, and struggled for match fitness and touch, but he's made it. Levi Greenwood, welcome to Collingwood! _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Greenwood had his Best Game for the Club. Maynard had a Break out Game.
Moore and De Goey had massive Part of the Win.
Adams Dominated. Grundy won the Ruck easily but made some Dumb Descions with Disposal.
Fasolo did kick 3 goals but play like a Show Off.
Reid going back was Huge. Thanks Cloke.
God Kicking Straight For Goal helps a lot

Agree, great to see the best footballers playing rather than sitting in the stands. |

Firstly congratulation to Menzel 207 weeks out of senior football 4 knee recon's and 7 total operations you deserve everything that comes your way lad. A inspirational story to any young player who faces adversity.
Now onto the important stuff
Well done to all the players for showing pride in the jumper
Did the coach tonight show his hand for the team going forward ? Pendles starting on the HBF leaving Adams Crisp DeGoey Greenwood to win our ball and get it to Varcoe Sidey and our outside runners ?
Adams and DeGoey had more clearances between then than Geelong in total.
We controlled play for much of the game but still win the tackle count decisively.
Grundy did great gave us first use more than often.
Did Pendles and Reid back with Brown give the likes of Williams Langdon Scharenberg Maynard confidence to play football knowing they had experience back up ? Special mention to Maynard going back with the flight of the ball half way through the 3rd term taking strong mark showing courage loved it son
Moore showed he is a competitive beast loads of second and third efforts add 6/7kgs to that frame and he's a winner folks.
Finally if your a true magpie supporter and can't look at tonight's game and be excited about our future then you need to reassess your options on who you support.
Tonight we saw the future alive and well in magpie land and it was beautiful to watch |

There's no doubt we have two future guns in De Goey and Moore. They both have something very special about them. Moore's just about the most agile, athletic 2m+ player I've seen (maybe Natanui aside for pure athleticism, but Moore may have him done for agility). _________________ Well done boys! |

I half agree with you, Mugwump - it was certainly good to see him when his team was so shite.
Mind you, I could have done without the 14 hour post-game interview with him in the rooms - anyone would think he'd just won the Norm Smith Medal, whereas his actual achievement was to be least-worst in a hopeless rabble that are 4 seasons behind Collingwood in their rebuild. Still, given his apparently intrinsic knee weakness, I suppose you have to catch him for an interview when he isn't in rehab. |

Team looked much better without Cloke, Frost and Toovey...
Reid and Pendles starting on back line; Grundy, Adams, Crisp, DeGoey, Greenwood tackling and winning hard ball and clearances. Sidebottom with some outside run / finish. Langdon, Scharenberg, Maynard, Marley off HBF, Moore up forward. Kicking straighter.
Bring in Treloar, Aish and/or preferably Dangerfield - and 2016/2017 starting to look like some good potential ahead. |
