Seedsman and Dwyer have been picked for a reason, more run, thus changing the team balance.
Will it be the go, or is it specific to the opponent??
(I try to start a discussion about team balance and it gets merged into the generic Coll vs Melb thread, yet there are 5 Sharenberg threads and 4 Goodes/booing threads on the first page. Deary me...... ) |
Annoying isn't it! I hate when a good thought gets totally de-railed. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

They usually have a special HD replay with the Ed commentary. I think the previous ones were on the Tuesday |

White gives up much more than Witts does. I thought this was the strangest week to drop White. Against Melbourne and with Cloke unavailable no less. But then again after seeing Bucks bring Grundy back against Port in the wet without dropping Witts, I have almost no idea what's going on anymore. This would've been the week where White could have kicked a bag against a bottom side. Funny that I'm calling them a bottom team even though we're only three games ahead of them. The ladder doesn't give an accurate indication this year, does it.
That being said, I'm excited about the inclusions. I can't wait to see Adams back in action!! Love the way that guy plays! |
Bucks is a Big Fan of Playing both Witts and Grundy in the same side.
Shown he never dropped either this year |
Grundy might be asked to play the White role - key forward pinch hitting in the ruck. I am expecting that Goldsack may play forward as a third 'tall' and to keep the ball in the 50. _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

No you can't mate. It defaults to the normal commentary unfortunately. _________________ Ohhhh the premierships a cakewalk for the good old COLLINGWOOD |

Only our second game at the G in 48 days, sorry Ed, but you've stuffed up, we should never again have a run like that where we don't play at the G for that long.
Anyway, onto the game, and this is our season, we can't drop another game really and expect to be playing finals, especially a game versus a bottom 6 side.
We should win, but it's more about how we win, we need to look impressive because we really haven't played well since the third quarter versus the Hawks. |

If the wet weather continues, Witts has to come out. If we go in top heavy again... _________________ Est. 2002 |

I am assuming there is only 1 Seedsman playing and that he is on the interchange bench.
Most likely seedsman will be the sub, with Adams (the other Seedsman) on the wing? |
Expecting a huge effort from Seedsman. |
Well I'd guess either Seedsman or Dwyer the starting sub?
And yes surely another indifferent performance from Seedsman will see him consigned to the reserves for the duration of 2015?
Can't believe how much Ramsay has been missed down back! |
Yeah, Seedsman or Dwyer the obvious Sub candidates. |

Gee you're setting yourself up for disappointment there! Shall be a sub and substandard |
Read the post, it was a reference to Seedsman being named twice in the team listed initially at the start of the thread. But don't let that stop you running down Pies players with your ardent desire for them to fail. |

2 inside ball winners OUT, 2 outside runners IN.
Kennedy & Blair for Seedsman & Dwyer. |

Or even, as in this case, a not-too-good thought!
But yes, King Monkey, it would have made a good topic for discussion and is completely lost and wasted here in the match thread. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Looking forward to this match on the traditional Saturday afternoon time slot!
Adams and Elliott are great inclusions and will immensely contribute to this side hopefully winning today. Dwyer is a reliable player so I'm happy to see him come in but Seedsman needs to show something if he wants to be a part of the club's long-term future plans so he has a chance here to silence his critics.
Dropping Jesse White is a bold move especially with Cloke already out with injury but good to see the club wasn't scared to do it. The same goes for Blair who has been the sub in the last two weeks. It's a little worrying that we're relying on a 19 year old kid to kick our goals but I do like the fact that Buckley is placing this much faith in Darcy early in his career.
I always feel nervous when we play Melbourne even though we've been above them on the ladder for a number of years. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that half my family are Melbourne supporters hence I get more nervous about this game than most usually would. Melbourne are capable of playing good football as they showed with beating sides like Richmond, Western Bulldogs and Geelong but their best and worst football is astronomically huge however I wouldn't take them lightly despite an ordinary performance last week against St.Kilda.
If we don't win today this forum's going to go into meltdown so I'm hoping we get the job done swiftly. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
