It's a game on momentum.. we either make the most of it or we don't. I'm forgiving players in game 2 for some of the errors. I'm happy they learn these lesson now in game 2, than game 45 when a Grand Final is on the line. |

Hard to be clean in those conditions. Last 3 games have been at night in slippery or wet conditions. We do have a fair few butchers at our supermarket though. _________________ Utter B@stards |

Exactly, and we remain competitive in spite of that. Very good signs. |

I'm happy mate, I'm wrapped the way Bucks has the boys playing, I'm also wrapped my initial opinion of Bucks was wrong, I'd be supportive of an extension of Bucks contract right now. _________________ Defender...........

Effort can't be faulted at all and going forward that's a great starting point.
Defender we might not always see eye to eye mate but thumbs up mate for altering your opinion on Bucks. Based on what we have seen this year he deserves an extension.
Playing kids is the most important thing for mine but showing heart effort and giving everything for 4qtrs every week that's a solid base to build a future on. |

This should be moved into the Buckley threads. Defender has summed it up best. Its not that Buckley can suddenly coach. Its just that now we are starting to see the evidence that he is a good coach and always has been.
Love that Defender is just matter of fact. I demanded that Buckley prove me wrong. He has. End of story. Well done mate (and I hope this doesn't appear patronizing in any way D as its not meant to be). _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

The 2015 edition of Collingwood is starting to look like a proper football team - of course, I'd prefer that they had won the last 3 games but, since I expected losses (and likely thrashings) in each of them, I've been surprised at how competitive Collingwood has been.
The close losses would be a serious worry if this was Collingwood in "flag-tilt" mode but it's actually a team full of children. There are very few players in the team who have peaked and most of them have considerable up-side. I expect Collingwood to be about 15% better this time next year. |

Spot on. Played who I think are the best two teams all year, travelled interstate twice in three weeks and averaging 84 tackles per game.
We should have won last week and this week and its really disappointing not to have however can understand.
Some of the post match and game day thread comments lack a fair degree of intelligence. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

You can make a case for playing the kids… and we have done so in the biggest games of the year, BUT surely we were too big for slippery wet weather football!!!
Seedsman or BK should have been given the gig instead of Moore last night. Given grundy was good and Marley was always going to be out - surely another small was required.
Moore should not have played - he will be very good but for now he is too easily pushed aside and last night was really tough for all the big guys.
With Broomy off injured we had to keep all the talls on the ground - which made our efforts even better - but still - lost it at the selection table and Bux has to take some of the heat for that poor decision. _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |
