Yeah, I'm at least semi competent, although like so many things in life a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Currently building a new PC with a Pentium G3258 processor for general use and a little gaming. Just need a mobo, some RAM and new HDD and I'm ready to go (can probably start without the HDD, have an SSD already and an external HDD for files).
I'm a bit surprised at the lack of as you put it "low skill, low margin" sales here. There seems to be plenty of computer nerds and gamers but not much servicing them.
Anyway, just saw your PM and found your website. (The PC one, not the wildlife one) so i'll have a look at those, at least until these drinks really kick in and I fall asleep somewhere around the house (daughter at my mums, so can happily make a mess of myself lol). |

What would be the point? You could make more money for less work washing cars or delivering newspapers, though you'd have to upskill yourself a bit to cope with a paper round.
PS: you won't glean much from my website. I don't think I've touched it in the best part of a decade. I only keep it for the history pages, which are fun in a nerdy kind of way. Most of them date back to about 1998 or so. The old hard drives are the best bit, I always loved them. (Modern drives are so boring.)
Hand me my pipe and slippers before you zone out on not-so-cheap whiskey, and tell the cat not to wake me before 9:30 at the earliest. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

The Age wrote: | Launching in August, new Australian internet service provider Yournet will only offer a single plan; unlimited ADSL2+ downloads for $129.95 per month. Unlike many budget ISPs, Yournet will boost streaming video performance by ensuring low "contention ratios" – the number of customers sharing a network link. The ISP also intends to offer NBN fibre plans "shortly after launch," says Yournet founder Raj Bhuva.
Behind the scenes Yournet will bypass the geo-blocking which locks Australians out of foreign video services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO Now in the United States as well as BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom. Yournet customers won't need to run a Virtual Private Network or alter their DNS settings, the geo-dodging features will be enabled by default for all devices in their home. |

No worries! It's all Buckley's fault, anyway. |

DTM, Wokko, etc. What's looking like the best solution for robust web goers in Australia for now? _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
