Cloke should hang his head in shame for accepting 800k a year and miss shots from 30 out when the game hang in the balance. What the %$^£$%^&%% is wrong with this guy? Is he stupid? Can't take lessons from specialist goal kickers that we assign to him year after year? But, I guess, if his father is giving him instructions, he will always be a pathetic kick from 40 out. David Cloke couldn't kick to save himself. _________________ Formerly LeighBrownBrigade |

Selwood gets the ball at the centre bounce, has time to dispose but decides to run through the ruck and is tackled dead .. BALL I'm thinking .. two minutes later they've kicked three quick goals .. game over |

Oxley and crisp gutsy skills, really good picks, can't wait to see degoey out there to. Jamie getting tagged now needs some back up. Swan solid pendles calm under pressure great leader. Brown did well, frost and Marley did well against big opposition.
Take out the crap start and the last five minute fade, these kids are good, me. Vs Boys, cats going down fighting, we going back up baby steps,
The bad. Selwood Hollywood fall, laughable, too many should be freed not paid, the cats milked the umps as usual.
The truly horrible I can't watch clonke kick from the goal square, it's ridiculous white we know us at the end cloke is prime! God help us
Pendles Jaime also missed sitters
Simply not good enough, surely they practice it? Scary if they do! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

We simply do not have a forward line.
We badly missed Seedsman and Ramsay. I defended him, but it's clear that Armstrong is simply not physically strong enough for AFL footy. Dwyer goes missing in big games, so must be dropped.
Let's bring back Gault and give De Goey a go. Maybe even bring in Marsh as well. Hopefully we'll be a much better team once we get Sidey and Greenwood into the midfield. Overall, tonight was a reality check, which might not be such a bad thing. We played bruise free football for most of the first half. That should not be tolerated. |

Too much bath water drinking though the week.
Young team. Will have this up and down performance.
Pity Cloke and White didn't convert to help the kids along.
Clokes goal kicking has got worse. Significantly.
Who ever is helping him needa to be sacked. And he needs help big time. |

The difference between AFL and Soccer: Soccer forwards can kick. That's what they're paid for to score a goal with only a metre latitude. This friggin idiot Cloke has 8 or so metres without a goalkeeper and crossbar and stuffs it. WTF is wrong with the idiot? Should we employ a psychotherapist to help him? And Jessy White? Don't get me started. He's no good. Simple. _________________ Formerly LeighBrownBrigade |

Witts & Armstrong have gotta go! |
Funny I would argue all three of our ins contributed next to nothing. Witts 15 touches at 66% with a mere 15 hitouts. Broomy only 12 touches - looked lost. Armstrong 16 touches at 87.5%....
I'm shocked at Langdon - 23 touches at 43.5% - something tells me the Cats identified him as a weapon.
If it wasn't for that 60-90 burst in the last quarter I'd actually be proud of the way we fought the game out but that 3 goal burst was just disgusting after all the hard work we'd done.
In the gun for next week without question - Wiits, Armstrong, Dwyer, White, Cloke, Goldy (??)... but I guess who have we got to come in. Maybe time for a debut? |
Geez give Witts a break it's his first game back in the seniors, he started well and then faded give him a chance, let's see how he goes after a few games back. Grundy didn't adapt at having in the team it did change the structure.
Blame White and Cloke - both missed crucial shots - momentum killers. Lack of fight tonight - Broomhead, ox, dwyer and armstrong looked lost. Out of sorts all round. Move on to next week. This is what we will be like until the team matures - inconsistent _________________ Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~ |

So deflating when the team works hard to get back in the game, sets up one for Cloke 20m out and the sprays the thing .. then your opposition scores one at the other end |

Why didn't DeGoey come in ahead of Armstrong? |
Really good question. I thought we were playing for our future. Armstrong is not going to be part of the next Collingwood premiership team. De Goey will be. _________________ You can keep your Locketts. There was only ONE Gordon Coventry! |

De Goey or marsh should be getting a game.
I would have though Marshs run and carry would have been a suitable replacement for Seedsman. _________________ - Side By Side - |

Duck is rambling on about goalkicking being the only one thing that hasn't improved in 100 years.
He should know. Think back to the 1998 Grand Final. _________________ A strong man stands up for himself ... a stronger man stands up for others. |

If our game was played in the USA there would be no way a forward would spray kicks like Cloke, White or any other player .. there some real clangers tonight that a professional footballer should not miss |

I'll get shot down for it but the selection of Ramsay was seemingly an indicator of the collective mindset we took into this game.
Pure hubris and we didn't give a yelp for a quarter and a half.
Bucks has to take a slap for starting Frost on Hawkins I'm afraid.
That was never going to be the correct match up on a guy like Hawkins.
Frost has been great but at 89kgs is far to light. Brown at 101kg was always going to be the better match up.
Stupid decision and Hawkins was very influential early.
Much better effort in the second half but we like most sides are dead ordinary unless we bring the correct intensity.
Reality check and we need to bounce right back next week. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Soccer players kick a round ball, do more walking than gut running and don't have 30 seconds to kick the ball with lactic acid burning through the legs.
That's not to excuse clokes misses but don't compare them to a game that uses a round ball. _________________ - Side By Side - |
