There are around 7 of us in the scoreboard chat.
Most of us have lost the connection for 3AW. However, Magpie Mark, Mike and Black_White are listnening to the game on the radio, and at the same time, very geneorously providing play-by-play commentry. i.e, "our ball,in 50." They did this for the whole of the final quarter.

It was more stressful than watching it on TV. Having no control over what's happening, just watching a monitor, hoping for good news from our great online commentators.

I will never forget this in the chat:

MagpieMark: Cows ball in 50.
NICK THE PIE MAN: Come on pies!
Understudy: I need a drink.
MagpieMark: Throw in.
Mike: :siren:
Black_white: ITS OVER!
MagpieMark: SIRENNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!
NICK THE PIE MAN: YESSSS!!!!!! WE ARE THE KINGS OF THE SPORT! I LOVE THE PIES, I LOVE EVERBODY ON THIS BOARD!

LOL, i got abit carried away!
It was fantastic. Again, thanks to MagpieMark,Black_white and Mike for the great commentry in the 4th quarter during VERY VERY stressful conditions.

Go the Pies!

For those of us who live interstate (or overseas) it is a combination of listening it on the radio/ on the web.. screaming at the monitor, in a heated moment trying to type something on the message board and not have it look like "shihiye whosse gotthe ball?"

Meanwhile you are in a thick sweat, suffering palpitations and I am getting to the point that I wonder that maybe oneday someone will come home and find me dead on the floor from an aneurism with Nicks Message Board still going on in the background.

I am sure the neighbours peer through their windows wondering what the hell I get up to.... nah, I can't be screaming that loud... can I?

Maybe it is time to think about making plans to move to Melbourne so at least I can do something about it and that's "Go to the footy".

Go Pies!

LOL, that was a very accurate description of how the night progressed. And Carol, as long as your computer is playing "Good 'Ol Collingwood Forever" then at least your life would have not been given in vain.
Seriously guys, if you can't be at the footy, the chat rooms the next best thing.

'Ken Oath

Black_White was my 'puter ever playing "Good Ol' Collingwood Forever" lastnight if I didn't play it once I didn't play it near a zillion times... <weg>

(Actually one thing I miss is when you watch at home is turning to the dudes around you at the footy and give them a hug or a high five. Can't really hug a monitor eh?)

Go Pies!

Understandable Nick, but I'm glad sometimes that you're 3000kms away.

The log for the whole game is available. If anyone would like a copy yell out.

No, im not gay for the record!!!
LOL! It was just complete and utter happiness and joy.
Because, during that last quarter, by the sound of things, Adelaide had more possesion than we did, and I was just so happy and relieved that our boys held on.

All my comments on that chat after the siren went, are completley justified, as I was under the influence, under the influence of a fantastic Collingwood win at Moron Park!

I wasn't questioning your sexuality Nick, you summed up the mood of the moment perfectly.

...but, call me inhibited, I was still happy to be 3000 kms away
