That part of their play was pleasing when
anyone had the pill they were alert to see
a team mate in better position
Very unselfish team comes first
Love it!!!!

It was very pleasing Barry and something that stood out to me when I watched the match on Thursday.

I was starting to get a sense that the players are beginning to understand their strengths and weaknesses of their teammates and there was a much more team-oriented philosophy behind our game plan and many players like Greenwood and De Goey weren't scared of going in hard to win their own ball.

Also what was most pleasing was our ability to move the ball quickly towards the forward line rather than slowing down play and struggling to find a target at goal. Admittedly our disposal efficiency is still shaky but I think if we can play with a much higher intensity for a longer period of time we will always be competitive.

We were definitely on in terms of run, intensity, hardness at the contest, tackle count etc. which was great to see.

You really got a sense that the 1 to 3 season guys really wanted to put pressure on the selection committee to keep their slots for the next game, which was really pleasing.

The quality of the use of hands to improve our position was much better than last year. We seemed to be able to link up and move the ball into the corridor with more confidence

Good signs i think

Skills were needed to be brushed up
from last year but as well so to their
attitude
Both were adressed was what was
coming out of Westpac and if Thurs
any guide that could be very true
There was a hunger & desparation
about their attitude
Keep it up fella, s -we love it

Working hard for each other … that is what they need to do every game - when we are in front or trailing. No blow-outs like last year - that was just mental weakness more than a high injury toll!
