MS Dhoni retires: India captain quits Test cricket with immediate effect
19 hours ago December 30, 2014
INDIA captain MS Dhoni has stunned the cricket world by retiring from Test cricket with immediate effect.
Virat Kohli will skipper India for the fourth Test in Sydney, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirming Dhoni’s shock retirement after the conclusion of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
Dhoni had come under a storm of criticism over the past week for his perceived tactical weaknesses, with many calling for Kohli to take over the leadership after his impressive performance as stand-in captain during the first Test in Adelaide.
Dhoni played 90 Test matches, captaining India in 60 of them.

Been a solid player for the Indian test team for the past ten years. He's a big loss for them. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Not really.
His keeping is workmanlike and his captaincy, woeful.
Any young keepers worthy of a Test spot will have at least as good a batting average as MSD (37).
India's current reserve keeper played in the first Test. His first class batting average is 44. _________________ Donny.
It's a game. Enjoy it. |
