Calf injury is a season ended for Benny boy. |
Too early to say how gone he is for next season.
But when we do get him back, I think we should play him at CHB, not CHF where there is too much turning.
Develop other options at CHF such as moving Keeffe up the ground, or play Gault next to Cloke. Even play Moore sooner in 2015, rather than wait till 2016. |

Apparently it's the 'good' calf, which is something - however it does try the patience of not only the club but us long suffering supporters. |

Ole Billy boy must be looking over his shoulder, if we get another soft tissue injury during the next couple of weeks he needs to be sacked. _________________ Defender...........

Bulked up upper body, chicken legs. Either train him to be a power athlete who never leaves the forward 30 or thin him down up top and let him be an endurance runner. He's trying to be both and his body can't take it. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

If the worst occurs and he ends up missing another season then I'm not sure where that will leave us.
When is he contracted to? |
Contracts mean nothing. We have seen it time and time again.
If he keep getting injured, he wont be worth anything anyway.
If he can get his body right, he is a gun. |
Talented key position players like Reid will always hold some currency even if they suffer a couple of injury ravaged seasons.
It's a risk to draft him but it's also a risk to trade him because we know how good he is if fit.
Hopefully he'll play some very useful football for us next year but if not then we'd have to consider making a play for Cameron etc. with Reid part of the trade deal. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

While he's everyone's favourite scapegoat... hard to blame anyone but the athlete him or herself when you get injured .... wait for it.... in the warm-up. His body is a basket case. _________________ Side By Side Forever |

On a brighter note Balme has already done a better job than Eade |
I can't believe he wouldn't be on a program that included lots of yoga and pilates. Whole team really.isnt that what cross-training is meant to be about.

Agree, doesn't take too much effort to say "hey, I'm feeling a bit tight in the <insert body part> maybe we should get it looked at before I go too hard on the training track" |

He's had injury setbacks in the past twelve months but before that I'm sick to death of hearing of this injury myth that he's been enduring for many years. Check his statistics to prove that he's played more than 20 games since 2010 apart from this year which was disappointing.
This is a disappointing setback but hopefully come round 1 he'll be raring to go. Hopefully the club can identify and address this recurring problem that Ben is experiencing at the present time. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I blame Blackmore's myself, its a conspiracy to get more people to tune in to the 'Injury Update'

Nothing like a little hysteria to liven up the day.
15 weeks to go.
Not ideal.

Sky still hanging in there!
thank God it's not falling yet!!
The poor bugger. Nothing worse than injuries at that age, some sort of imbalance, posture, lack of flexibility, could be behind the problem. He will definitely need to do a lot of cross training if he wants to get fit and strengthening around the problem!
Hopefully he is in good hands...... |

The club would be adjusting the line up with B Reid. If he comes in it will be a bonus. I suffered from Calf strains which forced me to give up football at 24. Unfortunately these things happen to the best of players and to average players like myself.
I hope he comes good, in saying that you have to move forward. |
