Post subject: Mens shorts - what is too short? | |
|
I chopped a pair of cheap jeans into a pair of shorts. My daughter reckons they're too short.
I reckon if I can wear them without undies and nothing makes an appearance down one leg then they're not too short.
No Poll on this, just comments. What's too short? Is above the knee OK? Should men all go Capper style or should Terry Sullivan length cargo pants be the minimum? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I'm in favour of public nudity, so my view on this is wear them as short as you like. If our prime minister can wear speedo-sized attire in public, so can you. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

If you can see where the thigh curves turn into bum curves and you're not a hot chick, they're too short. |

unless your built like the Rock, I like those long loose, ( but not see your jocks loose) cargo shorts. same as for woman, unless you've really got the body, when your pushing middle age, a bit closer to the knee is good!! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

^ I suggest not wearing them too close to the knee unless you happen to like displaying your happy trail. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

There are some people who shouldn't wear lycra in public, let alone budgie smugglers or god forbid wander around naked. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I've often thought exactly this whenever the "making fun of Abbott's swimwear" meme gets rolled out:
http://m.dailylife.com.au/life-and-love/real-life/benjamin-law-its-time-to-stop-the-speedo-shaming-20141213-126eyt.html
Quote: | To recap: after tedious national debate about what Australian women should and shouldn't be allowed to wear in public, social media retaliated. "You find burqas and niqabs confronting, Abbott?" various memes went. "Well, we find this confronting!" Cut to merry animated GIFs and close-ups of Tony Abbott's crotch region in speedos, emerging from the ocean like the monster Cthulhu.
"MY EYES!" we're all obliged to scream. Truly, though? This just reeks of faux-puritanism, just like the burqa debate reeked of faux-concern for Muslim women and parliamentary security. I can't and won't defend Abbott's comments about veils for women (the other day I saw a man with the NIKE LOGO TATTOOED ONTO HIS ACTUAL NECK, so I don't find anything confronting any more). But god help me, I will defend the right of our PM to wear his whatever he wants while swimming. |

I agree, David, on the proviso that he at least wear his swimmers or undies properly - i.e., positioned modestly so as to conceal his most offensive bits. This would also save the nation a small but valuable sum of money as he would no longer need to wear or put in an expenses claim for a hat. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Lol, I don't think that was quite the point Benjamin (or I) was trying to make! I vote for equal opportunity indecency. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
