I love the bit where Peter says of Darcy: “There was no way he wasn’t going to play in a team coached by Nathan Buckley if there was an opportunity".

Quote: | In fact, Moore has had a significant involvement with the club for some time which made the transition to pre-season training as a professional footballer a lot easier.
“The last couple of years Collingwood have been very supportive with his medical stuff, his training and able to use the gym a bit.
“We would go to games and Mick would let him stay in the rooms after everyone got kicked out, he would stay in to watch the preparation and the final address.” |
Sounds like we where very Committed for Moore for a few seasons. IF we where giving him plenty of help _________________ I am Da Man |

I was doing nothing special at my local Victoria Gardens shopping centre in Richmond on Saturday, when the great Peter Moore strolled by.
I said "good on ya Moorey" and he nodded back.
The whole exchange probably lasted 2 seconds.
But geez it put a spring in my step!
What a legend!
Let's hope Darcy turns out as good a player as his dad. |

Enjoyed listening to Peter's thoughts on Darcy and some of the comparisons he mentioned of the modern game to the days when he was playing for us and Melbourne!
Also loved hearing how his son bleeds black and white and would have always chosen to play for them even if Darcy had the ability to nominate Melbourne as his preferred club under father-son rules. He definitely sounds like a long-term prospect that we will need to be patient with but in the long-run he will be an absolute gem for the club. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Quote: | “He was probably more concerned about his mates at Oakleigh Chargers if they were going to get drafted than he was about himself.” | There is no I in team and that's massive for the young man. I hope the pressure and expectations don't get to him. |

Well if he is half as good as his Dad he will at least win one Brownlow! _________________ Is there any place you would rather be, than with me at the MCG? |

Good interview. Any reason the thread has been stickied though? |

Maybe that could be the reason we didn't commit to James Stewart? |

Great news, Peter Moore was one of my favourites as a kid like many of us here, Hopefully Darcy is the same and goes a few flags better than the old man. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

Why has it be Un-Sticked? |
It mustn't have been very sticky to begin with. _________________ Defender...........
