Post subject: Be daring Collingwood. Do this! | |

With the departure of Rocket Eade as Football Director, I urge Collingwood to think outside the box and make an exciting appointment.
Bucks does not need a 'mentor' as such, but I'm sure a role could now be found for his best mate Sanderson on the coaching panel.
That would leave an opening for Head of the Football Department. I know he's only recently retired as a player, but he has already signaled his ambition to one day be CEO of our club, so I say let's offer this position to Nick Maxwell. If necessary he could work as an assistant to Dekka for 12 months before taking over the role as his own. Let's build a dynasty around quality Collingwood people. Come on Ed, it's up to you. Do it. |

One thing we do need in the mix is someone who doesn't think like Bucks, has the balls to put forward alternate points of view and challenge thinking, and has the maturity and tact to do it the right way.
too many mates and yes men doesn't work, neither does outright conflict.
I don't know who ticks what boxes, but I wouldn't put Maxwell in charge of the footy department at this stage of his development. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Needs to be someone with different coaching lines, no use picking your own brain if ya get my drift.
Enter John Worsfold or Gary Ayres. _________________ Defender...........

Another from the Malthouse production line?
Wouldn't he maybe be of a similar mindset to Bucks having both played for so long and captained sides under the old man? |

I'd take that. I'd want a premiership coach, not another failed "got close' tryhard. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^ Apparently so did Rocket before he joined up. Agree that this person needs to come in from outside Collingwood and not already be good buddy's with Nathan or the players.
Woosha would definitely be a god grab |
