^ be competing with the Swannies game for FTA on the Saturday night you'd reckon, be interesting to see which one the 7 network claims. |

You're assuming the FTA networks still have all the power. That's no longer the case, which is why we've had more Foxtel games the last couple of seasons. _________________ Well done boys! |

would the afl's "fan friendly" fixture mantra extend to influencing who televises what? _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I think CH7 still pay the greater share of the TV rights deal and that gives them some say in scheduling and preferences. That may change in the next rights deal with pay to cough up more $$$s. Either way, I'll be in Byron Bay getting my Bluesfest fix so probably won't get to see the game. |

Good old Collingwood forever they know how to build our bank
AFL mantra is meritorious but comes in second to building rounds

Unless someone can confirm otherwise I'm pretty certain that this game will be telecasted on Channel 7 as opposed to the Bulldogs and Eagles game which is being played at the Docklands that same night and will be telecasted on Foxtel.
This game will have much more build up and expectation to it especially since the recent fiasco involving Beams leaving to join the Lions has perpetuated a rivalry that began since 2002. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
