I hate the AFL. The greatest Club in the history of sport being forced to play round 1 against a hack team with a fan base of about 16 people, interstate. They really are trying to bring Collingwood's crowd-appeal back to the pack. |

Yes Collingwood ---there be many media (& others) that live well because of what we
are
Put something Collingwood in papers and circulation rises
Breaking news " Collingwood ........., and up go ratings
Equalization of VFL days saw us paying a 3rd into fund and other 11 clubs paying two thirds --not a lot has changed _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I thought the AFL said they got it wrong using Collingwood as a crash test dummy for experimental games / times lots this year? Fair dinkium, they must read BF and think what a good idea for round 1, use the biggest club in OZ play at the Gabba against nobodies and wonder why crowds are down!
What a joke. |

Collingwood should always be playing at the MCG in round 1 of every season in preferably a home game.
That's how you kick start a season.
Alas it rarely ever seems to be these days.
Anyway bring it on.
We'll smash em with a full side not half of one. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

so many supporters enjoy the dick pulling claim we're the biggest club in the land with the most supporters. this is the opportunity to back it in and show them. it makes sense to get people travelling to brisbane over the easter break. if collingwood in brisbane cannot pull a crowd for the first game of the season then it will support the notion there are significant issues with footy up there. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

They just broke a 43 year premiership drought during which time they got given the arse from the NRL for being such an impoverished basket case off field to go with being useless on field. Even after being readmitted they were perennial cellar dwellars until Crowe and Holmes a' Court privately purchased the club and thus restored its finances.
Do you reckon you personally would have had the intestinal fortitude to keep supporting this "greatest club in the history of sport" through such tough times when you went to water this year when Collingwood just missed out on finals after a long period of sustained on field success minus the off field soap opera? |

Personally, I don't mind it.
Regardless of the outcome of the Beams situation, pressure will be on them rather than us.We can have copies of their silly tweets posted around the Westpac centre all preseason as extra motivation.Hopefully, we get to play them twice as well. |

Agreed come and smash these maroon toe rags, we owe them from that last disgraceful showing we served up. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

If we lose this game you can be sure of one thing. Nick's will be in meltdown and Piesnchess will be calling for Buck's head. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |
