DONE and dusted then !! |
Call it wish (un) fulfilment or more a projection of what I wanted. Damn it. he'll be more than a handful & they will have a very powerful fwd line now. Horlin-Smith as the third tall so to speak will be a big asset to "Baby Huey" at FF over at the Cats.

That's assuming he has his shit together. Lots spoken about his depression but he had serious foot issues too. A risk worth taking I reckon and I'd like to have got him but the caravan moves on. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Clark has been training for months with no problems, but it isn't AFL match like training and so he's a risk. Still, a risk Collingwood & Geelong think worth taking. Personally, I had issues all along about this mercenary and really, we've been taking far too many duds the last few years; Lynch, White, Karnezis and Armstrong added little and must be rated fails. Karzezis may still prove worthwhile if he could play as a big bodied mid, but can he? Armstrong got a game when every other option was limping or stuffed for the year. Credit where it's due though; he did ok when he got his chance. Taylor Adams might prove to be a good pick up, but the jury must still be out on that one; his decision making with ball in hand was diabolical most of the time. Essendon game anybody? _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing! |

@Neil: Well we've missed out on Clark, he wants Geelong, so forget that. And how dare you say White Karnezis & Armstrong have been 'fails'? White had a bad season after a great start, Karnezis was out most of the year with the famous 'coincidental Collingwood soft tissue injury" and Armstrong was just getting started as the year ended, including playing two games in the same day because we can't organise a **** in a ****shop with a fistful of fivers!
No wonder no one wants to play at Collingwood, even it's so-called supporters regularly bash Collingwood players, but criticise the coach and the personal abuse starts flying!
Lets face it, Collingwood used to be a great place for players, for WHATEVER reason, it simply isn't any more. My god, when players would rather go down the highway to the cold, miserable sh1thole we call Geelong something is REALLY wrong!!! _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

PS: wasn't this thread supposed to be about The-player-formerly-known-as-Harry? there's a whole 'mother thread about Beams. What's the current state of play re a swap for H now we've lost Clark? PLEASE tell me we aren't considering Varcoe!? That guy is a total dud! Matter of fact I don't want any Geelong cast-off's, they're just plain dirty! _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

Yup, I loved that we got 'Karny', he could be a perfect foil for Cloke & Elliot up forward. Knows where the sticks are and has the size to help Clokey out with either White or Reid taking a key back away from the drop. But we hafta get the ball down there first and without Beams or Harry running through the middle we're pretty easy to tag out of the game. If we don't get a ready-made mid for Beamer my prediction of 10-12 next year makes me look like a dead-set optimist! _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...
