Pick 22 for Lumumba is fair - in fact it's a little to our side of fair. Happy days.
Use it in the draft. I'd rather use pick 4 and get the next Pendlebury, and pick 22 and get the next Beams, than throw all of our eggs into one basket and end up with the next Jack Trengove.
IMO putting significant resources into tiny increments of high draft picks is a mug's game _________________ they can smell what we're cookin' |

With picks 21 and 23 in the Pendlebury draft, we took Stanley and Cook. Be careful what you wish for. |

H will learn the deees is no holiday spot, if there was footy hell, that club would be it, now under Ross stifling non attack all defence ludicrous game plan. ah well, its his loss not ours, bloody fool. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Pick 22 or pick 4 and Lumumba for pick 2.
Get it done pies. |
So you're essentially saying: Beams (Brisbane) and Lumumba (Melbourne) for pick 2... sounds like crazy talk to me really. If we also get a half reasonable player from Brisbane, then maybe ok.. but I would be hard pressed to part Beams alone for even pick 1 - because the bottom line is its a gamble on an already made champion who is only going to get better for some player who hasn't even played a game of AFL. |
The Beams deal gets done first separately we then look to upgrade that pick 4.
Pick 4 and Lumumba to Melbourne for pick 2.
Upgrading to pick 2 is the only way we'll guarantee ourselves one of either Petracca or Brayshaw players considered the best 2 midfielders in the draft.
Both will be gone within the first 3 IMO likely top 2 if Melbourne gets pick 3 for Frawley.
I wouldn't upgrade pick 4(5) for 3 unless we are content with taking the best available rather than a midfielder.
Basically do you want pick 22 for Lumumba or try for an upgraded first round selection in any deal for him. |
Swoop you are obviously more across the kids in this years draft than me but pick 4 and H for pick 2 sounds like a loss for us on first impression. |
Better men than me will be making that call so it's all good.
Get a second rounder for Lumumba and one as part of the Beams deal then we might package a couple of them up for O'Rourke if we're interested.
Hawthorn can trump a single pick with there first rounder. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Only in his myopic over hyper active, politically correct mindset. God help any dees player who tells any type of blue joke over there, with H in earshot. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Lumumba goes under his own steam, to a club that will have all the same issues that Collingwood has. Well at least for a personality that sees himself as a social warrior first and a footballer second.
I don't wish him well. He's in the Daisy category of self-interested flogs. He's turned his back on the club and on us, the supporters.
In the theatre of football the only appropriate response is to treat him like the enemy he has become. Good riddance H, I hope the rest of your career is an utter failure. |

I wish him all the best. Didn't want him to leave. At his best H was a terrific player. The shite heaped on him is quite amazing & not a reflection on him at all.
Hope you have a long & successful career H & thanks for playing with us. You will always be a Collingwood premiership player. _________________ āI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnāt keep āem under long enoughā Kinky Friedman |

It's only appropriate that H chose Melbourne, he's long had a thing for wanting to help the disadvantaged. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yes this is true.
All the more reason to give yourself multiple stabs.
And from 2008 the guys we took at 11 and 29 would be arguably 1 and 2 if you did the draft again now - certainly both top 5.
Just noticed that Rory Sloane was taken in the 40s the selection before we took Blight and then Rounds.
Hine was potentially within a gnat's dick of a clean sweep of that draft.
Adelaide also got Danger at ten - where does that recruiting manager work these days? _________________ they can smell what we're cookin' |

Yes, but in the Broomhead draft (as it will become known), we got Kennedy Broomhead and Grundy with 18, 19 and 20. This is what I wish for at pick 20.
I think wishing for a Beams is a little fanciful! I want the next Beams with pick 4 and I don't think that is fanciful! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

pretty sure that Collingwood trading down to number 7 to get Roach and leaving Matthew Pavlich on the table was also a bad one. Mind you, check out who Richmond took with our pick at 3 before Pavlich went at 4. If you want a **** up, there is one right there. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |
