There is no doubt the Hawks were very impressive today. Congratulations to them. In the glow of a GF slaughter they look invincible. However things can change very quick.
Just think what might have happened last week if the last minute or so played out differently for them.
I actually still think Port are the next big thing.
The challenge has been put to us - its a matter of what we do about that - and yes it will take time. But perhaps not as long as you think.
Maintain the faith. |

It's at least 3+ years to get to any kind of Premiership level...
Maybe longer _________________ We just got nutted at the clearances... |

I just posted this on my Facebook site and will now share it here
'Thing is. Money, years and resources spent to develop great players. Celebrate them. Don't get rid of them just when they hit their prime. Look what they can do."
Lets do all we can to keep the great champions of the game we have left. I hope that Buckley develops our current players and retains them so that once they are at the pinnacle we can be the ones celebrating. because I have been gutted to lose so many of our champions over recent years. Onwards and upwards. _________________ Side by Side

just leaving aside the foot skill level which has been the hawks bread and butter, it is their desperation…..
i would just love a pies side to show that desperation, its not trainable it just is…..
after a year of injuries they had their best 22 available in the grand final, luck….no way
carn pies…... |

As long as their players can play multiple roles, they'll be competitive. |

Unless Stevic again repeats his heroics of last weeks Hawks vs. Port PF in 2015 finals. |

Correct. Now here's a treat for you. According to FOX Footy Nathan Buckley did not award Luke Hodge any votes for the Norm Smith.
And people can't see what our problem is?
BTW Clarkson is a gun coach. Plays no favourites. Picks horses for courses. That's why McEvoy got the gig and succeeded. Rioli was an inpsired pick that some coaches would not have taken a risk on.
Only Port Adelaide stands between Hawthorn and a three-peat next year.
Yes, we are light years from being the best club in the AFL let alone the "best club in Australian sport". Eddie refers to us as the Manchester United of Australian sport. LOL. That's the Man U of 2013-2015, not the great Fergie led teams.
Hawthorn will catch our 15 flags within five years. Langford will win a Brownlow within three. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

Rioli had 5 kicks and 4 handball. Hardly a Craig Starcevich style late inclusion was it? |

Stevic will again stamp out any up-start challenge in 2015 finals. |

Similar things were said when the Brions won 3 in a row.......
It doesn't always work according to the script as those who picked the Swans today found out.
Next season is a new season and anything can happen. What if the Hawks get a run of injuries like Collingwood had this year? Highly unpredictable game, Aussie rules..... |
