If Melbourne get a first round compo selection for Frawley you'd expect them to use that selection as a "free hit" to make sure we have to pay what he's probably worth.
Given the Moore association with Melbourne it's likely I think. |
Not sure they can use compo picks, would have to be pick 2 _________________ B.U.M.S ROCK...That's Ballarat United Magpies Supporters.....Long trip but even longer hangovers! |

I don't think his salary is high enough to justify a 1st round pick, has to be in the clubs top 10% doesn't he! Thats the top 4-5 players. I think that's how it works anyway. Or is it the pay he's offered? |

Assuming Moore slips to second round, tall, fast outside mid with pick eight, and three players 190 cm plus with the other three picks.
And please, players who can kick the ball!!
One would hope that we can pick up a quality free agent and that at least Freeman gets on the park. Pretty sure Scharenberg won't play seniors, at least in 2015. |
Thank you Mr Lad. Would be great if we can take son of Peter as a second rounder _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Well, at least we weren't beaten by Zimbabwe. |

Some solace to take from the season is that we did beat 5 of the Top 8 throughout the year.
Richmond, Port, North Melbourne, Essendon and Sydney. _________________ A strong man stands up for himself ... a stronger man stands up for others. |

Positives about this - 8 finals appearances for 3 grand finals one premiership and a night premiership is our greatest era since the 1950s - 2 premierships plus 4 times runners up. but its over.
Negatives - this season was an absolute shocker. not one of those bad from start to finish seasons like 1982, but like 1974, 1997 and 1984 - started off well but could not sustain it. I have always thought 1974 was the worst but this one comes close.
At the halfway point we were 8 wins 3 losses. Who could have predicted the loss to finals contenders, the losses to no hopers like Footscray, the injuries, the loss of morale.
A season like this needs to be looked at harshly.

But we were thrashed by 2 of the 3 major teams most likely to win the GF, and caught the one we did beat on a bad day before their engine really fired up... _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

Dont you find it comical that Richmond won only one more game than us and their coach is the messiah.
Our coach? Well apparently he should be sacked.
