Pity girl didn't hit her Dad in the nuts and another on the video camera.
Nobody needs a 9 year old to protect them with a sub machine gun. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

What on earth is a 9 year old girl doing with an Uzi 9mm?
This kid is going to live with regret and sadness that she accidentally killed someone. All this demonstrates is that America's gun culture is beyond a joke now. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

He had her fire 1 round on semi auto before flicking the switch to full auto? He didn't tell her what was about to happen. He stood forward and to the side, far to close to the line of fire. The girl is obviously small and kind of unsure. This guy was complacent, negligent and stupid and thankfully it was only him who paid for his workplace mistakes and not a student who is relying on him to teach them to safetly use a firearm.
Kids SHOULD be taught to use and respect the firearms that are being kept in the house. That's how you avoid accidents. An Uzi is not a normal weapon kept in the home or used in any way other than by special forces or SWAT. Teach the girl to fire a shotgun, rifle or handgun, not an SMG with no practical application.
*edit* I might add that using firearms for recreation is also fine, but the disregard and lack of respect for the lethality of the weapon here is astounding. |

By the instructor. If the guy hasn't already had kids, he's in line for a Darwin Award. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yes, I implied that without stating it. A common problem in my attempts at brevity. Thanks for clearing it up. The INSTRUCTOR is the only one to blame here and he's paid the ultimate price for his stupidity. I'd prefer he just cop one in the leg to learn his lesson, but I'm guessing after that video cuts out the girls finger stays on the trigger for more than 1 shot (9mm is a pretty small round) either that or is incredibly unlucky. |

you did more than imply, but we do have plenty here who have comprehension issues when reading so I thought clarifying would be good.
I've fired pistols at a range before, the 44 magnum has a nice kick. The instructor stood behind me to my left. I've fired a 12 gauge one handed at full extension, my wrist can deal with it.
Letting a kid have a go at a Uzi in a controlled environment, no issues. Whacking it on full auto when it should be clear she didn't have the wrist strength to control it and sticking your head in the road...........dumb. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I hate guns
But for some reason I'd love to have a go with an Uzi
