Reviewing the Collingwood Forever website, a player named 'Ransom" played 1 game, debuting in round 14 1894.

A one game player... you see the Pies had a lot of injuries back in '94 - training too hard or something like that and Ransom was brought in to make up numbers...
and then while starring off the half back flank he suffered a hamstring tear - he was tough (they had to be in those days just to put the boots on) and Ransom played on courageously knowing the team was relying on him - until he tore his ACL - game lost and career over! _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |
