If only young marked it against Gold Coast. We would be playing a dead rubber against hawks this week.
Game of centimetres. |

What about the Game vs Suns when Ablett and 3 other players went off.
What about the 2nd time we played the Crows where we took the Lead in the last Qtr then go on to lose by 3 or 4 Goals. _________________ I am Da Man |

yeah if but if but if but. he didn't mark it and we we didn't win but what can you do. It's not like we didn't have our opportunities during that game. remind me.. how many behind in a row did we kick before we kicked a goal. |

It's not Young's fault we will not make finals, that's ridiculous.
Then again, it's not his fault for,
Not being able to make a tackle
Unable to break a tackle
Making poor decisions
Avoiding any form of body contact
Being injury prone
Missing set shots
Missing shots on the run
& let's not forget, dropping easy chest marks |

and we'd be doing what in the finals given our form and injury list?
Was a bad miss and a poor loss that game, but not worth singling out one error out of our year. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Same could be said about any number of our loses this season, especially last week against Brisbane. While Young's mark cost us a game, we've managed to cost ourselves games throughout the season.
So it wasn't just one incident that determined the final round being a dead rubber.. _________________ Ðavâgé

If we didn't have 100 soft tissue injuries this year we would be playing finals. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Quite an effort to scapegoat an entire season of missed opportunities and insipid performances on one bad moment from one player. We've had some whipping boys at Collingwood over the journey but laying a whole season's misfortune at the feet of one guy is quite a stretch. |

Young's mark didn't help but how bad did we play that whole game? We didn't deserve to win.
+ How did we beat Port a few weeks later? We should be no chance of making the finals.
That Gold Coast game was a pretty god summary of the missed opportunities and poor attitude in our whole season though. _________________ Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club

You are mostly right. Most of the teams in the eight are there because they play consistently enough across an entire season or for extended periods in the season. Those that are not in the eight did not do that. We did not do that. There is no need to cry about about it or blame "luck". None of that comes into it. At the end of the day we are probably not good enough to be playing finals and that's all that can be said. _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |

Ridiculous to blame Young. Yes he dropped the mark. But he still got it to Beams who missed the snap at goal, a snap he would have made 99 times out of a 100.
Likewise Sideys brain fade which cost him 3 games. Had he played against the doggies, we probably win.
Realistically, if we were to play Port in Adelaide it would be ugly, talking 1984 prelim ugly, so probably best that we will miss. |

If me aunty was me uncle.........
The 2 games that killed me were the away game against Adelaide and the Bulldogs game.
We turned up to both games knowing we were the better side, and played accordingly. The ensuing form slump wouldn't have happened if we'd done what we needed to do in those 2 games. IMO.

2011 Ben Reid.
2012 Cloke.
2013 Heath Shaw.
2014 Young.
2015 ...any thoughts on who is going to be blamed for next season? |
