Live Telecast of Adeliade vs Collingwood

I just found out that this weeks game Adelaide Vs Collingwood would not be shown live!!!
This is an outrage!
The idiots at Channel Seven have opted to put the Rugby league game on instead and our game which will be delayed until 9.00pm!
Are they mad...Who gives a f*ck about rugby anyway?
They will get more ratings with the Collingwood game!

As the magpie army, I say we should all stand up and call up channel 7 and make a point of it!

hey...i like rugby...its good (dont like league, only union, better game, better to watch)
but i like footy more
they can delay the rugby, and put footy on live
im surprised chnl 7 have it, Foxtel usually have all rugby.

Simple mathematics: who would garner greater ratings - hordes of COllingwood fans fresh from two 10-goal+ victories, or Melbourne Rugby fans?

It's a no-brainer.

Channel 7 obviously doesn't actually care about money or the AFL.

Interestingly, the AFL approved this pre-season. Obviously they were among those who had us written off as non-contenders, therefore this match wouldn't matter.

You will find that it will be a Rugby Union game. Currently channel 7 holds the rights to Rugby Union and I believe they made a deal with the Rugby Union bosses so that all Rugby Union games (Internationals) are shown live.

However, I still think this is total bullshit, how can the AFL let this happen?

Just like to tell you that the Adelaide VS Collingwood Game is being shown live on Optus Vision, and Im lucky enough to have it, so I guess its a BBQ at my place Saturday night for all not going!!!! LOL
