Post subject: Did the players get a say in replacing Malty with Bucks? | |

Eddie will look like a fool, if it comes to pass, that the players didn't want a coach change.
The Pies had more than 1 flag with the majority of this group.
Instead, Bucks comes in and destroy everything, and the team is now heading south at a rapid rate.
I would not be surprised if we are sitting in the bottom 6 next season.
p.s I am not a Bucks hater. |

Since when do the players get a say in choosing the coach? next you'll tell me they choose the CEO and select the board. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Well I did hear they we consulted and opposed it strongly. They didn't get a vote , but were asked for views. From what i hear a few threatened to walk if MM was sacked. A player strike was on the cards like in a scene from The Club Movie. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Bucks and mm discussed the coaching handover at length and agreed to the terms and conditions of it. mm reneged on his part of the deal and buggered off because he didn't want to play second fiddle. He treated bucks like shit up until the day he left and Eddie always had mm's back since day one. Daisy clearly had issues with it and if anyone else does then they can get stuffed too. |

Suspect you're right. I still have memories of us getting completely massacred by Brisbance ca 2008 by nearly 100 points, and everyone calling for Mick's head. Teams have bad days, form slumps, and young-on-average teams have more than older teams. The long term view is always best. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Oh ffs can't we get over malthouse please.
Malthouse is passed it, he is not the answer , didak, krakour , jolly, Johnson would all be gone by now aswell.
We have moved on, we are rebuilding and doing it without bottoming out, it could be so much worse.
Stkilda played us in the 2010 premiership look where they are.
Geelong played us in 2011 yes they are ahead of us now but I'm positive we have much more upside then them in coming seasons.
Malthouse would never ever of moved any of those old players on and we would be in a much worse position right now.
Yes it sucks losing and maybe Buckley won't win a flag for us but Malthouse was finished, let's move on he isn't coming back, he will never have success with Carlton - it's over. _________________ Collingwood = Everything Carlton dream to be. |

Dave please watch the great movie The Club. Look at the way they subtly got rid of our President Ted Parker. Love the speech the Administrator gave to Ted about footy. Maybe Gary Pert can have a quiet word to Eddie along those lines. Ed has given us great service, but football now is big business. Maybe it is time for Ed to go quietly with dignity. He has been a good President. He deserves to go with our appreciation and best wishes. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |
