Do you think I am winning bot hit outs and clearances and that's what rucks are there for Ceglar's two extra disposals don't mean much in that context too? |

Ah, I remember the days when we had 4 ruckmen playing at the same time in the VFL.
I was on the Ceglar bandwagon. Was disappointed when we let him go.
The funny thing was that the Hawks tried to get Shae McNamara first. And then the found out we let go of Ceg's. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

By my reckoning both of our rucks are outperforming Ceglar. We are winning both hit outs and clearances, and that's what rucks are there for. Ceglar 1 goal
Players running off Witts
Two details overlooked (unsure if Witts has kicked a goal though he did miss a sitter)
Edit additional:

Yep, it's simple to leave out a bunch of stats and throw in the most meaningless one, hit outs.
Did you just see Ceglar set up that goal?
And did you see them take hale off and allow Ross come on and run amok, cos they can leave Ceglar by himself?
Did you know graham wright and monkey, both at hawthorn, both rate Ceglar the best tap ruckman at the club and also with huge development left ?
Nothing you have said convinces me the decisions we have made with regards to rucks are correct, but time will tell. Only one I do believe is Grundy will be special. _________________ Buon Giorno |

Sadly when we drop Witts forward they don't need to man him up or worry. He doesn't mark and rarely troubles the scorers. I hope he does in future... _________________ Buon Giorno |

He was a wimpy yard of pump water when he was at Collingwood that would get blown over in a two goal breeze.
Yes big blokes take time, this guy has been years in the making and yes is now finally doing alright. Big fellas are a bit of a lottery, we had too many on out list at his time and we preferred others. Time might still prove we made the right choice. |

Who has 11 hit outs today.
And yes, hit outs, can be a "useless" stat. But combined with our lead in the clearances, it's telling that our rucks have been on top. A ruck can't be dominating if you're team's losing clearances and hit outs. A couple of touches around the ground means nothing if you're losing there. _________________ Well done boys! |

Could of been a black and white superstar.
I read on this very website, right before we drafted him, that Hine had kept him under wraps and we were getting the next Peter Moore.
Spend a high draft pick and 3 good years, nek minut, there he is getting a game at Hawthorn.
