Just walked past my commentary position.
Has that killer gleam in his eyes.
I don't know whether to be proud or terrified... |
Where were you sitting?
Yes he's a big bugger and that cardie was a shocker |
Sherrin stand, Bob Rose pocket.
I didn't mind the cardie myself. Just adds another element of 'geez, what will this bloke do next? Is that smile a warm one or a sociopathic one?'
Nothing wrong with a ruckman who dresses as though he is unhinged... |
Hah, so you would've been right there when the coaches ran up into the stand after 3/4 time and tried to cut over into the Bob Rose stand via the fire escape only to find the door closed and Pebbles had to resort to waving his arms around to catch the eye of the bloke snoozing on the bean bags to open the door for them? |
Ha ha, yes I was, I saw all that (even gave it a mention in my call).
What were they doing coaching from there? Was there something wrong with the normal coaches box in the Ryder Stand? |

Adams and Kennedy really need to clean up their disposal accuracy by foot, it is the main concern over their futures at the moment for mine. |

I thought Adams used the Ball lot better Saturday and Kicked a Nice Set Shot Goal _________________ I am Da Man |

^^^ I agree, DTM. I thought Adams' disposal was the best I have seen so far from him. He still has that habit of occasionally centring the ball at CHB - that's a classic turnover goal opportunity every time (it has been since at least the 1960s) and he must eliminate it from his game. I assume that's something he was taught at GWS? |

The Devlopment would be very Different between GWS and Collingwood as where there Lists are.
I say he still has some of Bad Habbits from being coached by Old Man Sheedy _________________ I am Da Man |

Thanks P4S. And likewise, your take on things is great to read as well.
I like Shane though. His photo work at the VFL is fantastic and puts in a ton of work with the Victoria Park Heritage Committee. Were it not for the efforts of Shane and others, we wouldn't be watching our boys at Victoria Park.
So, I have respect for the man. Don't see eye-to-eye with him on this one, though.
(And if I maybe bit back a little hard there, Shane, I apologise). |
Yeah, thanks P4S. Wasn't asking to nitpick. Wasn't at the game and just trying to get a sense of the timbre of the footy from MB who was. Got this new beaut Teflon suit so most of that just slides clean off. |

Thanks for the analysis Mattys123 and MB!!!
The feeling I get from this analysis is that Brown, Thomas, Fasolo and Adams will all be putting their hands up for selection this week. I can see Brown replacing Keefe but we certainly have some selection dilemmas as well in regards to the other three players.
I feel like we need Thomas for his in and under work and Fasolo has been a class player since his move to defence. I think Fasolo will come in for someone like Young but I'm not sure about who would replace Thomas and Adams even though I thought Thomas shouldn't have been omitted from the senior side last week anyway and Adams played a great game against Bendigo.
At least we have plenty of depth in the side and it's great to see a one-sided result! _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I thought Marsh was BOG not Adams but both were very good.
Broomhead is AFL standard as is Martin. _________________ We're always up to mischief! |

Good to see Marsh progressing. Still not likely to see much of him at senior level this year but he's got some weapons if they can be harnessed.
Big fan of Broomhead, kid has got some real class. If he keeps knocking at the door it's only a matter of time till he gets a senior opportunity.
Martin appears to be doing everything right, shame there isn't a senior berth available at the moment. Gault's injury (8-10 weeks) is the only one but he's a rookie as well. |
