Ahhh - So he must be the 7th or perhaps 9th worst player in the league?
Stevie J is #1 - What a hack. Cotchin @ 3 - trade him
Beams last full season he won a Copeland. I think he has some runs on the board JW. I reckon he is a gun. |
never said he wasn't a gun but just saying he does tend to butcher it. it is more noticeable with the better players because you expect better from them. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

1. Sidebottom
2. Lumumba
3. Cloche
4. Pendles
5. Swan
6. Fas
7. Beams |
Would you care to reconsider your response Mr Inkling?
I refer to your Gavin Brown votes from the weekend
5. Sidebottom
4. Fasolo
3. Swan
2. Cloke
1. Lumumba

Ink has never rated Beams anywhere near as high as we do. For no other reason it seems other than he isn't one of his favourites. Ink & I have had many little run ins with regards to this over time. |
^^This isn't true. I only didn't rate him early in his career . Now he's definitely a quality player. Saturday wasn't one of his best though, without the goals it would have been a fairly ordinary day in comparison to the rest of the team. |
I know Inky - I was kind of having a lend of you. I remember the debate well. |
No offense taken either way .
And the player that I forgot who'd challenge Beams for 7th, is Elliott. Most impressively, he equaled Pendles for our most contested possessions with 11. Becoming a far more rounded player this season. _________________ Well done boys! |

Likely to pull votes, so far.
Pies/Dons: Swanny 10, Sidey, Beamer & Pendles probable minor votes.
Saints/Lions: Montagna possible 10. Hayes, Zorko up there.
Roos/Freo: Gibson, Harvey, Mundy, Fyfe likely vote earners.
Suns/Giants: Ablett, O'meara, Lynch for the Suns. Ward could get minor votes.
Blues/Weagles: Murphy possible 10. Gibbs and Priddis will vote.
Swans/Dees: Racer likely to be in the votes, along with N Jones, Hannebery and M Jones.
Crows/Dogs: Dangerfield likely 10. Libba and Boyd will get minors.

30 Nathan Jones (Melbourne) - 8 votes
30 Nick Riewoldt (St Kilda) - 0

I had changed my mind on Fasolo almost as soon as I posted my votes. Over rated his game based on excitement of seeing him play so well. The ordering of the 4 behind Sidebottom is all quite close, but I felt Herry was too low in my original after watching the replay. _________________ Well done boys! |

Yep, posting just after a victory is like posting while drunk, I think - on sober reflection aftre watching the replay, I looked at my votes with horror... I had Sidebottom fifth with one vote, because I felt he went quiet in the second half. At least I have a new entry in the "I was wrong" thread. ... _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Sidebottom: second most votes for a Collingwood player after finishing third in the Copeland last year. For such a quality player, he attracts more than his fair share of negative comments around here. _________________ Well done boys! |

^^^ Yep - I was just formulating a similar comment - there he is, just behind the Captain, alongside the 2012 Copeland winner, just ahead of an AA backman, a Brownlow (and dual Anzac Day) medallist and an AA CHF. |
