Post subject: Last Minute Tickets for Members (Collingwood members) | |
|
At 4:45pm I received an offer for a reserved seat for $99 from the Collingwood membership department. With a number to call.
Looks like Collingwood doesn't want to be caught out with vacant seats at its Anzac day home game. But this is very last minute and smacks of greed.
We've been pretty vocal in our attack on the AFL for ticketing prices, but now Collingwood joins in. Disappointing. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

The three game package was $195 for 3 games IIRC. That was good value. This smacks of last minute panic. Maybe Collingwood held back as long as possible to snare the 3 gamers and then realised they'd be left with empty seats on a perfect, sunny Anzac day afternoon. I think $70 should have been the maximum but then again, there are people able to go tomorrow who will probably think it is a better deal than the tickets on offer from web site scalpers. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

i understand and accept the principle of your point but it is not like it comes as a surprise with regards to ticketing to anzac day.
perhaps the club can offer an anzac day only add-on to the ga memberships?
or, join as an afl member and buy the six game add-on reserve seat package ($60) which covers anzac day. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Yeah same - see your point, BUT..........
In the past they've announced "fully ticketed game, blah blah blah," but most people I know have been able to scan in anyways.
This time they've actually made a point of saying "you WILL NOT be able to scan season ticket at the gate" in an attempt to fleece people with these bloody 3 game memberships. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

And yes, ANZAC Day only add-on to a season ticket is an excellent idea!! _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

Once we get past tomorrow, the 3 game memberships will be allocated to 3 different games and the same stuff will happen.
The club regularly holds seats up it's sleeve until the last minute before releasing them. It sucks but I get why they do it, I just don't like it.
The whole fully ticketed thing will only get worse as we get more and more members who don't have reserved seats. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

They had 180 of the 3 game Anzac memberships left yesterday afternoon , as both Sen and 3aw mentioned it last night.
So pies have just reduced the price to get rid of them _________________ 1990 Grand Final :

yeah, that's right. in previous years you could just scanned in for standing room.
i would understand their current policy if this was a 'declared event' but it isn't. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

You could have bought out of the Collingwood members release (presuming you're a club support member) for $34 when they were released.
That's much cheaper. _________________ #TEAMBUCKS
