I reckon Collingwood should stick with what they have. They've got about a dozen guys who haven't played a game yet, and the fact that good players like Scotland, Betheras and McGough are struggling to get games shows the depth of the side at the moment. |

Rumours... arent they fun at this time of the year?
I heard Timmy Watson is going back to Essendon who will then trade him and their second round draft pick to Hawthorn in return for David Beckham who they'll receive from Real Madrid in a straight swap for Angelo Lekkas.....
Seriously people, i dont think that MM and the rest of the Collingwood crew care about whats going on with trades right now... they have something more important on their mind at the moment.... i believe its referred to as a 'premiership'.

It's great hearing these rumours suddenly popping up all over the place (and it's not even silly season yet!). I wonder who all these 'reliable' sources are! Heck in a couple of weeks its going to be Brownlow time, and I'm just waiting for the board to get flooded with 'leaked vote tallies'.
Isn't it great living in a sports-mad city like Melbourne? _________________ "Here's to alcohol, the source of and answer to all of life's problems" |

Shoild be a long playing list next year with all these new players coming to the club. |

We won't be getting Allen.
The deal is if we want him we've gotta take the rest of the team off their hands. _________________ Donny.

The reason all this rumour talk has surfaced is due to the fact
that player managers are talking with representatives of clubs and trying to see what they are prepared to offer in order to get player "X" across to that club
all it means is that the player manager is seeing what is being offered in the market place
At collingwood management has indeed been active in talking to player managers but no secret deals have been done with anyone
yes they have identified the type of players they need for next year
As far as to what Nick Stevens and Nathan Brown are doing
well only they really now
the word is that Nick is considering returning to melbourne as his brother no longer lives in adelaide so family is pushing for him to return to melbourne
i guess he will be weighing up his options after Port's finals campaign
Nathan Brown is a smart cookie, he wants regular finals experience and a handsom salary to go with it
The dogs will find it very hard to accomodate a package that nathan wants
The dogs are willing to let him go in order to make room in their cap to sign other players like Murphy
the clubs facing TPP (Total player payments) issues are Port adelaide, brisbane, stkilda at this stage
collingwood has been reorganising their TPP for a few years now |
