Hird is a scapegoat.
I hate Hird as much as the next man- yet he has been hung out to dry for the sake of the competition.
Tannin- your thoroughly googled, I mean researched definition of scapegoat actually supports my theory.
I am not saying Hird di nothing wrong. On the contrary- I am saying he did a hell of a lot wrong.
What i am saying is that Essendon and Jimmy boy were surely not the only clubs involved in dodgy supplements programs- perhaps not to the systemeatic level of the dopers.
Can you honestly tell me that the Cats, SUns and Demons- all of whom employed Dank and/or Robinson at some point were not involved in dodginess?? |
So the AFL made an example of a man who was in charge of a highly dubious, unethical, potentially dangerous, possibly illegal supplement program for the sake of the integrity of the competition?
What's the problem again?
Ever since his press conference in which he claimed full responsibility, Poor James has done anything but. That is a fact. _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

He was an amazing footballer to watch. But his sociopathic personality displayed in the past 12 months is just disturbing. He absolutely believes he did nothing wrong, much less place the charges under his care in danger.
And Mark Robinson, can we change your self appointed moniker of the people's champion to the Essendon people's champion? That 'opinion' piece today was puerile. And had the gonads to somehow involve Big Ed as a key architect. The tool had his pants pulled down by Fairfax's coverage last year while he carved out a media mega-star career with his confected anger and has lost any respect he had as a football commentator.
Tania, you accused the AFL CEO of a criminal act. Ballsy to say the least, but bound to place your hubby in more shit than a Werribee duck. Stupid, just stupid. Remind me never to engage your services as a legal practitioner. _________________ Explain it to me like I'm a four year old. Ted Whitten is an AFL legend, and Bob Rose isn't? |

Mate, oh yeah, well what , pray tell, was Master Hird doing when a number of his players were escorted across the bloody road at windy hill, to some mysterious house, where they were injected with Mexican catus juice or whatever the hell it was. Turn it up, he must have known it is weird that his players were taken over the road from windy hill, and injected with some sus substance, he knew, he damn well knew, and he rode the train to the promised land of substances. He knew, end of story. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/bombers-need-to-sever-ties-with-james-hird-20140321-hvl6y.html#poll
While it has no scientific validity in research terms, the anecdotal evidence of this poll is quite remarkable:
"Should the Bombers sever ties with Hird?" Over 80% of 20,000 people (that's an amazingly high number of respondents) say yes.
A bad piece of advice to the Hird clan by their hired help. Burnside et al stuffed up big time i think.
Good article by Caro - although I have to question her judgement: she picked "us" to win the flag this year & of course to make the top 4! _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

yep, you've totally missed the point. |
Demetriou should have got his wife to call Hid, then he wouldn't be able to be implicated. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Reading is imperative.
I am not disagreeing with you- you clearly have missed the point.
Read again, what i have written and then you will realise what you have written is hysterical nonsense- you could get a job working at the Herald sun! |

While I don't doubt fat Vlad tipped off the bombers as Mrs. Hird claims it doesn't change the fact of what her husband did.

I smell some media manipulation by the Hirds. They certainly have better media advisors than the Corby's.
Fact. The tide of public sentiment had turned significantly against Jimmy in the last few months. He probably had a feeling or maybe even been advised that he would never coach ever again.
In comes Tania with her little interview. Followed by his lawyer Burnside QC saying "It would be outrageous for Essendon to sack its coach because of the interview given by his wife."
I can hear the Essendon supporters credit cards being direct debited for the next million in advance for the golden boy. |

Good point.
He had to be talked into the coaching job in the first place, now he gets a $Mil to take a year off and with a 2 year contact just signed in his pocket it will cost them another $mil to pay him out, then he can go back to the company he was working with before hand, all cashed up. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Scapegoat? Total Bullshit
If some Chinese swimmers were caught taking PED's under the orders of their coach none of us would blame WADA or the International Swimming Association or Fat Andy. The blame goes to who injected and who gave the orders to inject.
Golden balls brought in Dank, wanted a drugging regime and now refuses to accept any blame.
Fat Andy is the scapegoat he didnt inject anything _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

James had credibility with me.
Big time. What a player! He threatened to do similar things as coach.
Then he got too big for his boots and stuffed up.
He still had credibility with me when he said "I take full responsibility" when the s&^* hit the fan this time last year.
That's the last time we've heard that from him.
The rest has been spin and lies from his lips.
It turns out that he more than anyone drove the program.
And he's been into the juice himself, with Mr Charter and co, for at least fifteen years.
Maybe for the first time in his life he's been caught out big time and in the wrong. Big time. Is it not in his DNA to admit fault when it is his turn to do so? Or is it that there's too much at stake for him? What a disappointment about how you've played on your golden child legend status rather than facing the music honestly James.
The article about him and his missus in today's hun was too sickening to read. Shame hun. At least Wilson in the Age told it like it was last year. Won the biggest journalism article of the year for this.
Can we move on please? Sorry. We can't because it is noise in our football following space. Then there's findings and possible infractions from ASADA on the way...
If Little has a pair the club will sack him for all of this. Should have long ago already... _________________ woodsmen rule |
