I have a dental at 5.00 AEST but will be back in front of the TV in time. Told the girlfriend she can go to the sauna across the road as part of her birthday present. At 7 bucks I don't mind. Better than she thinking I am a mad man. Singhas in the fridge and chilling.

Need to kick straight to in this one.
Looking at the team as named, it's the worst HB line we've fielded for decades.

i'm think either we'll win a close one or get belted. whatever happens, it's only round one and no need to carried away by whatever eventuates. no flags are won now and if it turns pear-shaped there's still another 20 odd weeks to go.

Surely that half backline won't line up like that.

Terrible isn't it?
I reckon Young and Clarke will have to start there ahead of Langdon and Goldsack.
Or bring in Harry at the start or during the game.
Fingers crossed that it will competitive.

Langdon would be the sub yeah?
We need a rebounding, long kicking half back. Clint Young to start on the ground

No doubt the Half Back line lacks big names... however 3 /4 of our interchange players can also play there!
Happy to see Witts given a go and Tooves out there again.
Bad luck to Keefe and of course WHite and Reid will push hard for rnd 2 - however the selectors have rewarded pre-season form and not taken any risks with injuries - Good Stuff!!!
Our mids look strong with Beams, Ball, H, Swan, Pendles, Adams, Sidey and Caf all capable of making it a good contest against the heavos on ball!

Keeffe to be a late inclusion is my tip.

Weakish half back line, but if our mids can dominate the play like they did in Sydney last year (no reason they can't) then it may not matter.
I'm excited to see what a fully fit midfield is capable of. We haven't had one really for a few years now.

Yeah, has to be some doubt over the Sack. Came off with quad or hammy tightness against Richmond in Wang and has only played those 3 quarters.

Is Langdon a good user of the footy, or do we have a backline full of poor to average kicks?

Hard to call it the worst when 2/3 have barely played to be able to judge them. Most inexperienced - hell yes. However, you may find you have a lot more people agreeing with you after tonight if it all turns to crap!!!

Good question isn't it. Aside from one very clever piece of play the highlights package the club put together from the Suns game didn't do much for me. Yes I know he's young and everything but there appeared to be a lot of wraps on him so I thought the highlights would really show that..... I guess we'll find out if he sinks or swims at 7:55 tonight (yep I'm giving him a whole 5 minutes... haha).
